I guess by now most people will have heard the radio news flashes. There was one around lunch time with the shocking news that four "juveniles" aged 11 to 13 have been charged with manslaughter in the death of one of the missing boys.

Then just a few minutes ago another news flash came on. I was busy on the telephone but I think they mentioned a body had been discovered and that the four juveniles are now being held in police custody in Nassau.

As a friend said when she heard this - it sent chills down her spine.

It is truly a tragic thing, and it makes me feel numb and if there was anything we could do to help ???

I was not trying to imply anything here, Dee. The last time I checked, "satanic sacrifices" happened just about everywhere. No need to be so defensive. This whole thing is starting to look like a Bahamian version of the book Lord of the Flies.

1. Why has everything suddenly gone quiet on this issue?
2. Why are four boys being held for alleged manslaughter and we haven't heard about a body being discovered?

I agree! But we must be careful! Arrests have been made and we don’t want to say anything that would prejudice the Jury pool. Even the local talk radio programs are not entertaining too much comments on the subject .

I know what you mean CG, but the public should be kept informed or misinformation will start circulating. Also, I saw children from Jake's school being interviewed on ZNS television and it seems they are accepting that he is dead. Why should everyone assume this if he hasn't been found yet? Isn't there still hope?

Also, as I said before, what about the other four boys? I thought I heard that the police are treating those disappearances as separate issues.

And are the children in Grand Bahama still in danger? Their parents need to know.

The Police is working on this case! It has NOT gone dead! However it is at the stage where the public should not be informed until the situation has concluded! So Please let the police do their work, and wait until they feel that it's at the point for the public to be informed! Also the Police have not deeemed it necessary for the the public to know whether or not a body has been found as yet,SO Please stop trying to second guess ! The Police is working on this case! It has NOT gone dead! However it is at the stage where the public should not be informed until the situation has concluded! So Please let the police do their work, and wait until they feel that it's at the point for the public to be informed! Also the Police have not deeemed it necessary for the the public to know whether or not a body has been found as yet,SO Please stop trying to second guess ! By the way, since my last post on this there was something on ZNS T.V. about there being a program coming up on Channel 13 about the missing boys. I think I heard that it would be aired October 25 at 8 p.m., but I'm not sure if that's the correct date and time. I called ZNS to double check but they said I'd have to call back on Monday. The lady I spoke to did say though that she thought she heard something about it.

There is not much on there now about the boys but you could check their Archives. It will be a good place to check once the trail starts.
