I've been looking everyday for new news regarding this case. I've seen nothing for days!

I wish I got ZNS as well!
Can you fill me in a little, please?

Much thanks,
Rhonda

Sorry rumajmi but there are no new updates at this time.
Everyone is waiting on the Police to give a report to the public as to where they are right now in the case of these missing children.

As for right now all we can do is wait.

The Steve McKinney show had no real purpose to me. It was attempting to be an Immediate Response of the afternoon that never took of in the first place.
I only catch bits of local talk shows here and there, but from what I heard from Steve McKinney's show, he seems like a real gentleman. I think all of our talk show hosts are doing a great job and are of vital importance to our freedom of speech.

Delroy - maybe we should start a new thread here?!

Hi Rhonda,

Unfortunately nothing new to report yet, but no doubt one of us will post here in Bahamas Issues when we learn something. Please let us know if you read anything pertinent in your newspapers over there too.

Thanks for your concern.

Best wishes,

ZNS has informed me that their special program about the missing boys will air on ZNS T.V. 13 on Friday, October 24, starting at 8 p.m.

Did anyone see the ZNS T.V. program on Friday night? My husband and I watched it and thought it was quite well presented. The participants were a little reserved at the beginning of the discussions but got warmed up towards the end. We were particularly impressed with attorney Constance McDonald who “told it like it is”. Then our Deputy Prime Minister came on and when the DPM mentioned again how safe the Bahamas is, we switched channels!

I contacted the Criminal Investigation Department just a few minutes ago and all they could tell me is that a press conference will be held today to confirm the reports.

God help us all. :(

Wow! Quite a big news day! I've scoured the different news sites.
I saw an article where a 17 year old was arrested for killing a 14 year old boy.
In that article they call the 17 year old a juvenile.
In the case of the boy's bodies being found, they say they arrested a young man.
hmmmmmmm.

Thanks so much everyone! I"ll be checking into here to see furthur updates.

I have so many questions. Wondering about the boys they arrested, will they be released? What about this man arrested? Was the story about the swimming pool coerced? Lots of questions!
(((((((((hugs)))))))))))

It's a very sad day. I have been hoping and praying that the boys would be found alive somewhere, even if out of this country.

Rhonda, you will probably find another thread in Bahamas Issues entitled "Missing Boys" will keep you more up to date now, as this is no longer just about the 5th missing boy.

I'm a student of criminal profiling as well as a member of the cold cases forum. What really drew me into this case, apart from the obvious about the boys missing is the arrests of the young boys.
My original thought was that there was no way 4 young boys could be smart enough (forensically speaking) to carry out such a crime without leaving a trail of evidence a mile long. As most people know, the first hours are the most critical in finding a child alive after they disappear, the longer they are missing, the less likely law enforcement has of finding them alive. Sad fact, but true.
My heart goes out to everyone in the community and the families of these young boys. What a waste.
Here in the united states we have far too many children go missing day after day. In canada is another ongoing case of a young chinese girl that was kidnapped last week from her bedroom during the night. She's been gone a week. Lately, and unfortunately, there have been more and more cases of children snatched right out of their homes at night.
Going back to these boys whose bodies were just found, they all had things in common. Working at the same store, playing at the same video arcade, and their ages are not that far apart.
This sounds terrible, but i'm wondering if this is the work of a serial pedophile/killer. I don't know how open the bahamas is in giving out information.
There is a good teacher in law enforcement profiling. Why+how=who.
I'm sorry, not trying to sound cold to you.
It should also be considered a victory of sorts, if you will, that they got a killer off the streets so no other children meet the same fate at the hands of this killer.

My heart goes out to you all,
Rhonda

Rhonda! sad to say, that this IS the work of a pediphile killer!! The suspect arrested was known to be a bisexual pedophile by some in the comuunity for some time, nut no one assumed that he was capable of such a heinous crime! However the community is releived that this situation has now been solved! About the 4 boys being still held! We will leave that up to the police and hope that they can connect the two cases cuz like you said there are lots of questions but we have to give the police the benefit of the doubt, until they report to us!Yes it is a very sad day. Thank you Godson,
I've been reading what I can find. Nothing yet that is informative about the killer, other than age and that he's a resident. Articles are saying they haven't been able to identify who's remains are who's so far. Forensics experts and other Law Enforcement there in the Bahamas to lend a hand.
I just read that when first arrested, two of the young boys confessed to putting one of the victim's bodies in a stand up box behind an apartment complex, but nothing was found by police or searchers.
Supposedly did this after the boy had drown. I know this sounds awful. I"m not surprised it was a pedophile.
So sad for everyone.

The case of the missing children has now come to a closure.
Today Cordell Farrington was charged in a Freeport court with the murders of Jamaal Robinson, 22, Mackinson Colas, 11, Junior Reme, 11, DeAngelo McKenzie, 13, and Desmond Rolle, 14.

Four minors were charged earlier this month with manslaughter in connection with the disappearance of 12 years old ; Jake Grant whose body is yet to be found.

This has been a confusing, frustrating and terribly sad 6 months for many Bahamians but now we can all thank God that it is over.

I would like to thank everyone who assisted in this campaign.

May God Bless you all.
