View Full Version : Fifth Boy Missing in Freeport Grand Bahama
Delroy 09-29-03, - 08:12 PM The case of the missing children has now come to a closure.
Today Cordell Farrington was charged in a Freeport court with the murders of Jamaal Robinson, 22, Mackinson Colas, 11, Junior Reme, 11, DeAngelo McKenzie, 13, and Desmond Rolle, 14.
Four minors were charged earlier this month with manslaughter in connection with the disappearance of 12 years old ; Jake Grant whose body is yet to be found.
This has been a confusing, frustrating and terribly sad 6 months for many Bahamians but now we can all thank God that it is over.
I would like to thank everyone who assisted in this campaign.
May God Bless you all.
This thread is now closed.
pepper 09-29-03, - 08:52 PM it seems to me the food store is the common link. Has there been enough investigations in this area? If they all worked there then someone had to have seen or heard something.
Delroy 09-29-03, - 08:58 PM My idea is that it it is someone who works there or someone who renders services to that store on a regular basis eg: a delivery person.
What I want to know is why wasn't that store being strictly monitored to prevent this?
This is almost like the X-Files?
Delroy, you and I, and everyone reading this thread are horrified. There is much we all disagree on but here we are united. This is a tragic thing.
You asked a few questions. Here are my answers. I wish they were 100% on target but I feel that we are not getting the "full" story.
"What is going on in Freeport?" There is a serial child rapist and perhaps killer on the lose! He may be homosexual, or maybe not. Children are often in more danger from heterosexuals!
"Why haven't the Bahamian people gotten any real answers from the police, the government and whatever assistance they acquired from international sources as to why our young men are going missing from the island of Grand Bahama? " I don't know but I would guess that they are keeping things back that are useful to the investigation.
"How far are the police in this case?" I hope fully! I doubt anything less! There is nothing "good" in this case for the local people or the tourists. It is a blot on us all.
"Why hasn't a house to house searches taken place on Grand Bahama as yet?" Because it will be of little use. These young men are not in a house. They are somewhere else, perhaps a boat. I fear to say it, but perhaps dead and buried somewhere in the bush, or thrown overboard at sea.
You said, "Desmond is said to have been employed as a packing boy at the same food store as the other 4 missing boys." Where is this food store? (Grand Bahama people help us out!) Is it near the docks? What is it near? What might all these boys have in common within the area? Have they delivered groceries to an address in common? There well might be something else they all shared. I hope this has been looked into!
Serial crimes are not, traditionally, the crimes of a black man. They are not unknown among black people, but they are usually the crimes of a white man. (I am white so I can say this without fear of being called a racists.) The police need to "look" hard in that direction - as I am sure they are.
Whatever the cost. Whatever the pain. Whatever the so called "hard feelings." The police must push this investigation for all they are worth! They must, and I am sure they will, leave no stone unturned.
I am sure that all of us, particularly those of you in Grand Bahama, will do whatever is needed, within the law, to bring this person, or persons, involved to justice.
Pray if you are a Christian! Chant if you are a Buddhist. If you are an Atheist, keep them in your thoughts. Justice must prevail.
robbieboy 09-29-03, - 09:40 PM I said before and i will say again the officer in charge of Grand Bahama( who i know to be a very good public speaker) need to go . There is no pro-active measure set up in Freeport to prevent this from happen again being a good public speaker dosn,t fight crime we need serious people in place to deal with this matter. The police don,t have a clue and if they don,t do some moving of person they would never have one .I would think after four the message is clear that tthe police dosn,t know what to do and they are unable to protect our little boys
Delroy 09-29-03, - 09:43 PM Thanks CG,
I still feel strongly that the people of Grand Bahama NEED to give up their rights for at least two weeks to allow the authorities to search every home on that island. The person or persons who is kidnapping these boys has to live in a home. If they don't live in a home then we should check the registry for every boating vessel that that is in Grand Bahama waters and the ones that visited there over the past 6 months.
We don't need to sleep on this issue. Leave no stone un-turn.
godson 09-29-03, - 09:46 PM I must admit that I am baffled on this one! and my heart hurts for the parents of these children! HOWEVER i AM INCLINED TO LEAN TO THE BELEIF THAT SOme unholy ritual is involve here. In Brazil a couple of months ago , young boys were going missing rthe same as here in Freeport. and it was discovered that they were being used in Obeah rituals that required the use of young boys penises. Yes i know this is sick and hard to believe but then we are living in a very evil world today! The police and other agencies in Freeport are doing all they can in this matter, but I dont know how prepared our force is in dealing with the works of Satan! because the stongest ally that these cults have is unbelief. The ability of authorities to put aside science and technoligy and believe that satn can have evil cults at work! Someone ask where Winn Dixie in Freeport is located, its located in the heart of downtown freeport!About seaching all homes in Freeport, I dont beleive that that would help in anyway, but it can't hurt either so Im for it!Howeever we need real Chritians to pray continuosly to defeat the forces of evil in case my hunch is correct! Also parents in Freeport STILL havent use proper precautions with their children even with all this going on or that child would not have been at that store knowing the history behing the other four boys!Plus visit Port Lucaya on any given weekend and see the number of young kids unchaperoned up to and even after the midnight hours! So lets all do what we can all ovwer the bahamas to try and find a solution to this atrocity.Because its happening here in Freeport, but any and all of our Islands may be involved in some way! . Lets ask Jesus to help us overcome the dark forces of evil thats prevalent in our country today, including the case of Reverend protesting for drug dealers not to be penalized! 1 Delroy, you and I, and everyone reading this thread are horrified. I am not a Christian, but can I say Amen Brother, Amen?
Delroy 09-29-03, - 09:59 PM And anyone who refuses to have there homes searched; it should be looked at as grounds for suspicion.

Godson! You sent a cold shiver up my spine when I read your posting. There are such groups as you mentioned in the world. If that is the case, and we don't know that for sure, then the police need to look for any graves that have been recently desecrated, a skull is also needed. They should also look for any male goats that have been reported lost, or stolen. The horns are often used in these "ceremonies."
Let us HOPE that we are way out in left field on this one!
germantiger 09-30-03, - 10:28 AM All five boys worked in the supermarket, which is located in the downtown area, surrounded by numerous other stores. I think, that is the place, where the Police should look first, not only into people who work there, but also people who frequent the store on a daily basis.
I noticed on numerous occasions, that beggers and all different kind of funny looking people "hang-out" there.
No children, whether boys or girls, should work in any supermarket after school until the person is caught and brought to justice. This should stop rightaway. Adults can assist packing people's stuff, if necessary at all.

debbyocybergal 09-30-03, - 10:44 AM Although my reply is a little late in the list of replies, I believe that idea of the food store being a primary factor in this puzzle is "right on".
I don't remember this item being revealed before, because I know that if my son was working at this food store, yesterday would have been his last day.
Also if I feel that the person responsible for this case, should know every intimate detail about every employee at that food store.
I hope there is more follow-up revealed on this matter than pleas to the public. I think the media should keep up to date as to what is being done in the investigation of this matter since I reside in New Providence but have family and friends in Freeport.
germantiger 09-30-03, - 02:20 PM It is the parents responsibility to not have their children work at this supermarket or anywhere else in Grand Bahama until this monster is caught.
I further believe, that all of the boys must have known the person and trusted him or her that far, that they got into the car with them
I think, that a search of all homes in Grand Bahama doesn't make any sense, because I doubt, that the person keeps the boys in his residence. Unfortunately I assume, that the boys are not alive anymore, it would be far too dangerous, to keep them in a home. Everybody on Grand Bahama is on alert and would report any suspicious ongoing in a home to the Police.
There are endless bushes and mangrove swamps on the northern part of the island, it is so easy to dump a body there and no one will ever find them.
Again, Parents WAKE-UP, don't allow your children to work in any supermarket, keep your children at home or with friends whom you can trust. I am aware that the families need any additional income in hard times like this, but the life's of our children are more worth than anything else. Adults should do the job in supermarkets, if necessary.

sary.
Who said that we were looking for bodies?
It is easy to hide bodies but it is hard to remove evidence.
I suspect that the police are already looking into DNA to find these criminals and I do suspect that there is more than one person involved in this case. Most likely it is a pair of individuals who are both well known in that area. I believe that the parents of each of these boys know these persons quite well or have seem them before more than once.
I would suggest that that the police ask the parents each one of these boys:
- Who all have they or their children accepted a ride from this year?
- Have their children receive money from anyone as a gift lately?
- Who do their children talk about on a regular basis?
Look for a common name in each answer the parents give.
Ask the other sisters and brothers the same.
This is my advice.
