Big fall Out - Seem that the Cuban Government has not allowed the teachers that the Bahamas government has contracted for this year. Arrangements have all been made, the teachers were to be here now for more then one week and bang - no teachers.

The person whom the government has contracted to rent his apartments for these teachers wants the terms of his contract lived up to regardless.

Wow, our poor little darlings under this PLP government.

So Sad..... So Done.

Here is the "skinny" I was given about that situation...by one horse up there at that pretty pink and white building we gat down the road there...next to another big pink and white building! This soooooooooooooooooooo juicy...yinna gatta hear this one!!!!.

The real truth is that the crew of people who went down to Cuba to interview the "choosen" specialists this time (true professionals..not PLP cronnies on the NCOSE) came back and asked them if they outta they fecken minds! Just imagine, she continued! Bringing language "specialists" in an English speaking country to assist English speaking children with language problems....AND THE DAMN LANGUAGE SPECIALIST DON'T SPEAK A LICK OF ENGLISH NOR FAMILIAR ARE THEY WITH THE MORDERN METHOD OF DEALING WITH LANGUAGE PROBLEM CASES!!!!!!!!

Ya lie....I shouted!!! Nah..all er we know that when a Bahamian say: "Take my oath"!!!! Ya know they een lying!!!! I hope!!!!!!!!!

However, she continued: This new gropu that went down this time learned from them NCOSE peeps last year and was not about to let a bunch er useless "specialists" in on the graavy train...who most of them ended up teaching PE or doing some other lame sh!t around the schools for two or more years.... because they were either untrained in their specialty area, could not speak english or "spies" sent by Castro to watcth the others!

She concluded that: The peeps at Public Services dpt and perfessionals in those subject areas...said...hell no! If we wan some untrained "specialists"...we gat plenty er them right here...we een need to go all the way to Cuba ta get them from Castro!!!:fly:

LORD.....IF WHAT ER HEARING IS TRUE....WHAT ELSE THESE PEOPLE GER DO NEXT?

Mind you when I was in school and since then, I know of situations where persons with BA or Masters degrees in certains subjects (sicences, languages etc) were asked to go into the school system and teach. They did not have no teaching certificate but they did ok. I had one he taught me for three years and I got a B on my BIO BGCSE so he was not too bad for someone with no teachers training. Maybe they need to look at doing that again.
