Yep, it has been officially six days in a row that BEC randomly turn off the lights in Fox Hill. I don't know what type of problems they having up there, but I expect a discount at the end of the month. I am tired of setting clocks.

Damn I feel your pain. In the months of July and August, it was just power cuts and more power cuts!!! God now just thinking about it has me all fired up! I don't understand- why can't we use our solar power? We have the sun all year except during winter when it rains tremendously, but still. We have our resources and all we do is waste it! Sorry I know it's a totally different topic but you knooow....

BEC just want make money...I am not sure how much money they would make if we turn to solar....

During July and August I had powercuts too...but it did rain plenty so, I understood that BEC ain't sophisticated enough to work during the rain...But these last 6 days aint rain at all and the lights still off...

Hey cane..what's up? That's true..BEC has a few issues when it comes to the rain, but should learn that a lot of people need power. And when they go on strike the higher man laughs in their face- but after a while the higher man realizes that it is the lower man (in the profession world) to make the higher man where he is it- then again this isn't totally true- This is the case with places like factories, and electricity companies.

Did any of you see the report on Cable 12 news about the electricity company on Spanish Wells? The have 5 generators to run the island. The company is owned by the residents of the community. They have money in the bank and the residents get dividends!! They never load shed and a 15 minute power outtage would be considered a long time without power!!! They charge more per kilowatt, but the overall usage is less. Didn't say anything about fuel surcharge (thats what is killing us!). The report was done by Silbert Mills of Radio Abaco. Maybe he's trying to send a subtle hint to Abaconians!!!! Of course Abaco has far more people than Spanish Wells and these people are spread over more miles of land..not to mention sea!
But really, BEC need to try and do better! Sabotage is blamed for the power outtage all over Abaco on Thursday morning!!!
