Is it just me or does it appear that the Police and the Coroner Linda Virgil has a vibe. Yesterday the Coroner and the Attorney for Anna Nicole Smith appeared at a press conference, at which time the Coronor indicated that she knew the cause of death for Smith's son but was awaiting a toxicology report to confirm the same, however in the absence of such report, she indicated that a Coroners inquest will be held later at which time, the mother of the deceased and others may be asked to testify. She also indicated to the international press that there was a third person in the room and they know the identity of that person like it was a big issue.

Today the Police had a press conference where they indicated that the cause of death is unknown and that they are awaiting the results of a toxicology report and that a death certificate has not been issued among other things.

After watching both press conferences it leaves me to wonder if the Coroner and the Police have a working relationship. It appears that both of these entities seems to be fighting for airtime. I was also really surprise to see the Coroner at a press conference, I would have thought that if it was something suspicious about the death of Mr. Smith, the Police Press liaison Officer would have spoken to the press. As a matter of fact I thought the Police would have investigated and if the death was deemed suspicious, then the Coroner would have become involved, not the other way around. Looking at this incident I wonder would the international press is thinking about the Bahamas.

I do not know if this situation occured because of the who the decease is, but I expected a more organized and unified response from the various Government agencies on this matter. I also hope that Anna Nicole was not trying to keep her residency status and address on the down low because the Prime Minister told the whole world all her business, even if it was public information, I never knew until Christie spilled the beans. So much for privacy.

I don't think we will know how he died until the inquest next month. Meanwhile the foreign press will continue to wait around Doctor's Hospital as if the truth is suddenly going to come flying through the doors! My question is why did Howard Stern stay in the hospital room all night...I mean those rooms are not that big and we do have several hotels here!!! And not far away from Doctor's either. It just seems weird to me. This story, though still very sad, becomes more and more intriguing.

I agree that Anna Nicole Smith may well have not wanted her status here to be publicized and now, having had her home clearly identified on TV, that will no longer be the refuge she probably intended it to be. Ah! the price we pay for fame!

Man, the royal Bahamas police force has to call in advance to go behind the gates...Lyford Cay is one of the safest place in the world to be.

It was no secret...its just that most of the locals were not in the know...I listened to what Mr. Christie say and it was utter nonsense but nothing revealing. The Foreign press knows more about the Bahamas and have access to more places within the Bahamas than the typical Bahamians.

YOu are so right, one of the reporters from the U.S was interviewed by Z.N.S in front of Doctor's Hospital and she said that the have their inside sources and they know exactly what is going on however, she also explained that their interest in the story was from a humanitarian side, and not just reporters wanting to publicize the events.

Everybody just guessing...But if she lives out Lyford Cay, why drive pass Lyford Cay hospital, (there is still a hospital out there right) to come way up town to go to Doctors Hospital.
