LOL, Taff, you really cold boy!!! :D
pevans 09-27-06, - 09:30 AM we in the Bahamas enjoy a very high quality of life & standard of liveing that is secound to none in this region.
What region? USA in this region? Turks and caicos in this region? Cayman Islands in this region?
Just ask 80% of Bahamians living here if they enjoy a standard of living second to none and they will laugh at you fo your naivety! A relatively high per capita income is a very unreliable indicator of general wealth. So much in the hands of so few in this archipelago.....the system is totally iniquitous and you have the audacity to say the citizens of the Bahamas enjoy a very high quality of life and standard of living. Where you been living man?

You couldn't be more correct. I think a lot of times this "high standard of living" title we put on ourselves is a huge farce. What we consider a high standard is mostly material items... items which ppl of other regions find frivolous and unimportant. How many Bahamians can right a cheque for 10 grand at any time without a problem? I think very few.... we have no measured investments in our own country amongst the greater percentage of the population. A few individuals direct and guide opportunities to whom they deem fit. The average Bahamian lives with hands out as opposed to hand -in-hand and progressive. Sad it is but true it is as well.

sound reasoning...but what's a measured investment?
canewry 09-27-06, - 12:15 PM Lady Pindling is the widow of our countrise frist prime minister; she needs to be treated with respect. her role as the wife of Mr Pindling contributed in alot of way in the developement of this country. we in the Bahamas enjoy a very high quality of life & standard of liveing that is secound to none in this region. we have alot to be greatful for in this country & i'ts people like Mr Pindling, Milo Butler,Randle fox, even Sir Staford Sands these people have made contribution to the development of this country so stop insulting them please. i'm not takeing up for her because i'm a PLP or an FNM i'm not even going to be voteing this election; but i'ts not fair to say things like that about people who'v contributed so much to this country i'ts just unfair.
Man don't waste your vote...vote for Cassius Stuart...
I know ya frustrated with both the PLP and FNM because both of them are a waste of time...but ya get options...

canewry 09-27-06, - 12:17 PM what qualifies her to even be considered for this position?
she finish primary school??:screw: lol
Who should represent the queen...
Anyone who can host a tea party and give a fairly decent speech...
canewry 09-27-06, - 12:18 PM what about the BNP? I remember you pluggng them a while back...
I still considering them...
I aint give up on them yet...
But them two parties need to merge...
Then you will really see me campaigning...
RockWell 09-27-06, - 08:22 PM then the b____ gets a pension afterwards, along with that of her husband draining the public purse...while people like prison officers can't get a decent salary and health insurrance coverage for the jobs they do much less a sensible pension
....seems as if all this government is doing is lining the pockets of their old washed up cronies by putting them in key positions....then holla about they care about young people(my foot) these has beens should be allowed to ride off in the sunset, with pensions they already recieved...
talking about foriegners not training bahamians to fill positions...how about bahamians not training bahamians:taped: :taped: the more the rich gets the more they want.....greedy bastids

You know you are campaigning more than Cassius Staurt right? You would think as one of the long shot parties out there he would at least start up the machine by now. I thought there was going to be a convention. Tell me is Cassius still serious, or is he and his wife still on a honeymoon?

he may be cassius in disguise:biggie: :bye:
adidasboi987 09-28-06, - 11:10 AM As far as I know there are no requirements to be considered for Governor General.
well **** goin to college i need to just get politically connected and put my bid in for GG then.
If your implication is that the Governor General does nothing then why would you ask what qualifies her? Maybe she just isn't qualified because you say so.
the mere perception of a "prestigious" title isnt even deserved by her (in my opinion), whether in truth the GG does nothing all day but spend tht lavish salary or not.
the reason i asked what the GG does is because they havent been too visible for me to note anything worthwhile.
diarra 09-28-06, - 11:38 AM sound reasoning...but what's a measured investment?
Measured in terms of market share and substantial monetary value or regulatory influence. We have a lot of entrepreneurs in the Bahamas but I am not convinced that their interaction within the markets have any real impact. Our more lucrative markets are controlled by non- Bahamians for the most part.
