ok this thread is becoming useless and a waste of bandwidth. capitan can we please move on to some real issues, like:
1-When is the bahamas going to implement real training & licensing for jitney drivers, so they can follow the laws of the road instead of creating nothing bu traffic jams or hell on the roads of nassau?
2-The attitudes in alot of bahamian fast food places are terrible, such as drive throughs etc, with sucking teeth, grumpy faces, etc. when asked for something as simple as an extra ketshup, or napkin. Should or could we boycott these particular restaurants, to show them they are not the only ones in Nassau that make fast food, or would there be some legalalities surrounding this?
3-Why do Bahamian businesses, the large profit earning ones, budget so little to security such as video surveillance, etc. I was getting a pi**a the other day from a local pi**a place, all they have is an older (60s) female security guard, no cameras, nothing. How is this is to help in case of vagrants or gangs or the such? It is really pretty rediculous, but the bahamian people in general who visit these and other places accept it as normal. Are we to wait until a tourist gets killed or robbed at one of these places before they spend a couple dollars for some good security? Im sure a bahamian or 2 have already been attacked or robbed at these and many many other placews, including the staff. Lets face it, Ive been doing alarm systems for 6 years now, and an alarm system is just not good enough for security in places such as this. An alarm system is only good if you have a panic alarm (if you can get to it in time), and when the business is closed. Video sureveillance obviously wont arrest the criminal, but it will help prevent the crime as criminals can see cameras also, and in the case of a crime the criminals can 85% of the time be apprehended if they are caught on video, even in Nassau (remember most criminals are well known to police already by face, and therefore makes it easier to catch them, only the courts let them go time after time, but thats another issue!)
4-Vagrants and Beggers (jonesers?). Im tired of them coming up to me popular gas stations or fast food restaurants, traffic lights, etc. If the tourist would see this they would not return, and alot do on Bay STreet, though the police tend to keep that area cleaner than the rest of Nassau. So the tourist are more important than us locals? Whats up with this!? I say arrest anyone caught begging, and maybe some homeless shelters should be created to help prevent some of this??
Have fun with these :-)

Censorship is a serious issue, and we should all fight to defend freedom of speech until the bitter end. I do agree, however, that Captain and Delroy seem to have gotten into a pissing match.

Agreed, the customer seems to be a burden on these foodservice businesses. I will never understand that. Perhaps more managers are needed? Or possibly proper training for existing managers.

Because the people selling these systems are scam artists and charge way too much. :D
Heh, actually, it is related to your complaint about the lackadasical attitude of the foodservice industry. It is easier for them to maintain the status quo. There are even examples of this outside the food industry. Look at many of the retail stores around Nassau that close their doors for an hour in the middle of the day for lunch. They are stuck in their ways, and don't want to change.

Can't say that there is a silver bullet to fix this probem, as you see it in any big city. What strikes me as odd, is that we continue to have this "Hatian Crisis", yet we employ them to clean our yards, paint our buildings, and misc manual labour around the place. It seems the only thing Bahamian vagrants are willing to do is wash cars with sandy, gritty water. Perhaps some public education could be done to encourage hiring of these destitute people, as well as educating THEM on how to present themselves for odd jobs.

yes agreed, too many people support the jonesors by paying them to clean thier cars, when they only do use dirty rags and water, and mostly use the money for things other than food. im just tired of the hassling and soon im going to go postal on one of them! But i keep trying to stay calm and ignore it :-)

Yeah but Delroy has his rules and as he pays for this web site out of his own pocket its his right also to uphold them. I agree that there is no law against obsanity on the internet though, no matter where the server is located (yet), but like i said the web site owner has the right to ban a person if they break the rules. Ill be the first to admit I havent actually read the rules all the way through myself!

huh! :-))
Actually I agree on this. Other companies charge alot more than I do, as they say they have overhead, though that really doesnt make sense as if they charge my pricing they still make money, and either way it doesnt affect their monthly bills. I charge enough to warranty it and make 'some' profit. Though lately I assist the c lients with purchasing their own products direct from the US, but then they have to cover their own warranty. Then there are other companies that sell lower end (less reliable) products and charge either just a little less than I do or more.
Im actually thinking about a new business with a new partner, selling specialty products (gadgets) If you want to view the PDF I can post the link here (no prices yet).

I totally agree with you, i will rply later my friend..
There really are more important things in life to consentrate on.
Like the missing boys in Freeport, prostitution in Freeport and Nassau.Really i can keep up mentioning things that are more important to me than having a piss contest with Delroy.
So LETS FOCUS
