For those of you who do not know, or do not remember. Lawrence King was a top black Republican supporter from Nebraska, who was arrested and convicted in the early 90s for fraud.
He was also alleged to have run a child sex ring, running through his home town of Omaha Nebraska and to Washingon DC.
It is reported that very high officials including congressmen and top business officials, used his service.

King got most of his children from a Catholic ran school, for homeless and orphaned children.

To date, only one person has been able to win a damages award from King.

Umm, what are you expecting to hear? I, for one, agree that it's disgraceful. Whether the teen was male or female, he/she is still a minor, and to be propositioned like that from such a person of influence is just plain nasty. I have no sympathy for Foley, and I'm glad he resigned. I'm surprised more legal action isn't taken against him. His behaviour, as far as I'm concerned, shouldn't warrant support from gays and lesbians just because his attraction was toward the same sex.

Isn't the age of consent in the majority of the United States 16 years old?? So what difference does it make if he were 16 or 26 -- as far as the law is concerned, the acts were consentual.

If that is the case (and I'm not sure if it varies from state-to-state; I believe Maryland upholds an 18-yr-old age of consent), then fine. But I still find it unnerving that this 50-something year old married man, who is apparently child molestation, is himself pursuing boys - boys who aren't old enough to either vote or drink, and in some states, even drive.

Legally, it may or may not be an issue. But one has to consider other facts. This isn't some ordinary man making moves on an ordinary kid. The man has power and influence (much like a teacher/minister/parental figure), and the boy workes directly underneath him, so is even more influenced by this man than you or I. What kind of impression does that leave?

I heard one news report sayin he was single.

He is now saying he was molested by a clergyman when he was a teenager. Whether he is saying this cuz its true or cuz he is trying to get some of the heat off him by picking such a linchpin story..who knows.

(One woman in fact!) lol, lol.;) But I know a number of homosexual people and they are as equally outraged as “we” are when a child is molested. People that mess with children are pedophiles.
