View Full Version : the Pindling Dynasty: mega billionaires
canewry 10-03-06, - 11:14 AM Actually, exactly how much does lady Magarette Pindling worth?
Is it 10 million, 20 million, perhaps 57 millon dollars? One of them old commission of inquiries said the couple 'ran through/banked up' 57 million dollars during a 10 year period in the early 80's. Wow! That's real money...black money...hard working money, money that came from blood, sweat and tears. (But whose?) Man, I aint even ga go there.
But seriously, I still want to know how did Lady Pindling and her family come by their mass amount of wealth? What type of business are they in? How come they seem so secretive about it? Of course her husband left her well off. But dang, we talking real money being made on this little island nation. Man, Lynden Pindling had wads of sweaty monies stashed all over the place: Investments on top of investments. Truly he worked hard providing for his family.
But my issue is this: how come the Bahamian public have to still pay off the Pindling them bills in spite their millions? Man, I heard we had to pay off their mortgage for their million dollar house, when Sir Lynden died...fine! I was cool with that..what's a few million dollars donated to a mega millionaire, I am all for helping a brudda out. Then I heard we had to pay Sir Lynden's medical and funeral bills...hmm...well, he was our first prime minister so we suppose to have supported them during their time of need. In spite the fact that the man had an umpteen million dollar insurance. Where that money gone?
Then Lady P got her husband's pension...then back pay of that pension. Wow! real money on top of money...But it doesn't end there. Now I hearing her light bill does be paid by us, her water bill, her phone bill, gad dang all her bills the Bahamian public paying...So what on earth is she doing with her money? Banking it up and saving it up for Obie and Michellethem? Man, is there a need to make this woman even wealthier?
Whoa...and it still continues...the PM now have this woman double dipping just like he boi Ingraham...I mean she getting her pension and being paid as the Govenor General at the same time....Wow, to only be a Pindling right now...
Tafadhali 10-03-06, - 11:23 AM I dont think their billionaires...and their blood and drug money een gah last long no matter how much bills the Bahamian people paying...we want our $500K back!

Anyways, do some reasearch if you really care, and stop trying to get this woman into this dirty business. She tried hard to stay out of her Husband's affairs, and it is disgusting for you to bring it up!

All leaders of their respective countries, and their widows recieve benefits packages. In fact, the family is going to be repsonsible for maintaining the legacy. Expect more activity in LO's name!

Apparently you are NOT cool, because you countin up the woman's dead husband's pension money!

Then Lady P got her husband's pension...then back pay of that pension.
Why in the bloody hell is it an issue for you where she got her late Husbands pension money from?
Do you ask your family members what and where they got their spouses pension money from!?!?
This thread is disgraceful, I expect more from you canewry!

That is a red herring and you know it. The wife of any former PM is entitled to his pension. Period.
Her earnings are not to be considered when issuing his pension to her.
This point is so foolish as to be a non issue. Pensions are supposed to be for retired persons only. Sir Lynden not only retired from politics he is now deceased. Since he meets the requirements for pension his wife deserves his pension, that is only right.
Hubert Ingraham is collecting his pension while not being retired. That I find is the issue. The issue in my mind has nothing to do with his MP's salary or the possibility of his becoming The Prime Minister again. Hubert Ingraham never retired from politics and as such should not be entitled to a pension.

Yes yes, we know. So um, when will the party you support change the law so that what you claim persons like Ingraham are not entitled to will in fact not be entitled to it by law?

The thing is Hubert said he does not get the MP's salary but he gets the pension's. If he is not entitled to the pension salary why does he get it by law? Whoever is in power should stop it...change the law or whatever.
