Forget that since we elected the PLP to power on May 2, 2002, this country has been in scandal after scandal and forget that no one to date has suffered any consequence as a result.
I guess I want to ask the “is the PLP members of Parliament, Ministers and supporters above the law. To me it certainly seems so. Recall a few facts, we know that employees of BAIC were fired by Sidney and Leslie Miller, the Bahamian Employees suffered no one even apologized.
We also know that Sidney Stubbs led a high level delegation to Korea with Earlin Williams and racked up almost $1 million on the Bahaman tax payer. We also know that Sidney Stubbs with the aid of two Ministers committed government money for line fishing boats that are illegal in this country. We also know that they boats had fishermen that had approved work permits (Peet was Minister of Immigration and Grey was Minister of Fisheries). All what happened was that Stubbs resigned from Baic, but his actions were criminal and that of the ministers involved.
We know that on more then one occasion that Leslie Miller was involved in altercations that were in once instance abusive and at least one of our investors. Of note are reports that one of his Ministers may have violently against the will of a lady engaged in unwanted indecent behavior.
There is more but I want to make this quick and this is worst of all. PM Christie has now resort to lying about the actions of the behavior of his members of parliament and ministers. In doing so he has also told the Bahamian people to take it or lump it.
This position that PM Christie now finds himself in is no accident. He wanted to protect his political position and his chances at the poll in the next election. He took us the Bahamian people for granted and worst of all as fools. Now even PLPs are vex and upset, even PLPs are now saying Perry is too week and lame to carry on.
Sadly a small amount of misguided Bahamians (de redhead, Kappaman and y2kbad) are trying without success to defend them.
It is the height of irresponsibility for a PM to knowingly lie and it is also the same for all the ministers and Members of Parliament who witness that big bust up.
This is inexcusable.
I now call upon all PLP supporters to now should join all other Bahamians who put country first to ensure that credible men and woman sit in the seat of parliament.
What say you?
