Well, planted sources in the belly of a PLP Meeting in North Eleuthera, called me to confirm that Freeport, Boston based Dentis Dr. Lealendore (Lee) Percentie will be the PLP Canadiate for North Eleuithera.

For those of you who do not know Dr. Percentie, he is the Vice Chairman of the Grand Bahama Human Rights Association, he is known for his frequent letters to the Editor (Punch, Guardian and Tribian) blasting the Christie government over many issues.

A letter in the Punch last edition was attributed to him and yes he wrote concerning the PLP abuse of the Hatians taken from North Eleuthera the other day.

Dr. Percentie is from a die hard PLP family in Harbour Island, he was a supporter of the FNM for many years, even sought to run for the FNM in North Eleuthera in 1992, he lost his bid to Alvin Smith the current MP for north Eleuthera.

He is married to an Asian lady and they have a hand full of children. My true feelings on Dr. Percentie is that he is a good man, honest but could not wait for his time to get the FNM normination. He will be defeated like the PLP will be defeated at the polls in the next election.

I am of the firm belief the had he just want to be in the house. He moved away from the Bahamas and is now living in Boaston. When he moved he expressed frustration about my beloved country and its people and now he wants to sever us in Parliment... how in the hell...

I shall be travelling to North Eleuthera in a day for two and hope to make that PLP announcement to the people before the PLP has the chance to do so....,

like the man said, old news. but your cavalier manipulation of the information speaks volumes as to your integrity, as you suggest that dr. lea's move to boston had something to do with leaving the bahamas in frustration. as a matter of fact, he moved several years ago when his wife became ill, and has been working from there ever since while she undergoes treatment.

Lea would be well advised not to run! I would hate to see another good friend go down in smoke.
By the wat I know the real reason why Lea is running, but I won't discuus that at this time, and believe you me, it has nothing to do with representation, they're purely selfish reasons!

dr. percentie would do well to wait awhile before rejoining the fnm camp, though ... briland plps really went out on a limb for him on this one. the back and forth with comm. johnson has been going back and forth for months.

but since you're on the inside with the fnm contingent, can you ask them whether their proposed candidate will be more active and visible in north eleuthera than he has been in the past? seriously, there's a lot going on that he doesn't seem to be aware of.
