During the wee hours of Saturday morning Bahamas Immigration pulled off yet another raid in Abaco. Both majority Haitian Communities (Pigeon Peas & The Mud) were the main focus of this the lates round-up. Reports indicate that in excess of 300 persons were detained and loaded onto a waiting Defence Force boat for the trip to Nassau.
Similar smaller 'raids' took place at the Elbow Cay Club, where another 30 persons were awakened at 5:30 am, and were ferried off to Marsh Harbour, and then onto the Defence Force Vessel.
Seems like brother Shane Gibson gettin serious 'bout this illegal national ting.
Yet, I ga be checkin to see if any of the arrested fellas suddenly re-appear after their bank account done clean out by crooked offices who might be stashing Christmas shopping cash already - it only October, man. They start early this year, eh bey?
Anybody else hear bout this?

it's about time for a the ministry of to conduct them self and inforce the laws and take the measures needed to curb the illegal immigrant problem that the bahamas has been dealing with for the history of it's existence.
if they do and effective job we will not need as many school and clinics as we do today and a decline in are yearly budget.

There was another raid in Abaco last weekend.. Defense force boat backing up immigration..anyhow heres a story as told on Radio Abaco.. More than 300 illegal immigrants were taken to a holding area, but the immigration dept decided to show compassion and let the women with children go. The immigrants soon used immigration's compassion to out smart them. Women with more than one child "loaned" a child to the women with no children in the group!!!! Once released the children were returned!!!
Now I een made that up, and NO I was not there, but this was reported in a Radio Abaco newscast!!!
Our tax dollars at work!!

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. Shame on them. IMO i dont think the government should have compassion when it comes to enforcing the laws of this land, especially when it comes to immigration based on our current state. We show enough compassion by educating their children for free, and giving them free health care (and these immigrants know that we cant deny that). But once again its brings to light the way things run in the Bahamas and how those who should enforce the law bend (and sometimes break) the rules. "Whats good for the goose is never good for the gander in the Bahamas" :chicken::wipe:
