View Full Version : Police Brutality on "SHARKY's" Big Brother!
I hate for the first thing out of my mouth to be a blast of negativity, but the seriousness of this situation has intensified again.
Last week Thursday, the witnesses in the :rip: Darron “SHARKY” Bethel case had a court date! :hammer: (Including ME) After testifying, there was an altercation inside the courtroom as we were making an exit. The (police/CID) brother of the decease was angered :sparky: by one of the police officers that shot and killed his brother as he exited the courtroom. Mr. Bethel responded to the gestures by voicing his opinion about the matter and the policemen in question. The policemen walked up to Mr. Bethel and intentionally ‘bumped’ him, :realmad: as to start a fight. Which nearly broke out, if it weren’t for me and the other witnesses.
As it would be there has since been a more violent confrontation. Mr. Bethel was :driving: on his way to work on Friday/Saturday (not sure) in the Carmichael area, his civilian vehicle (which depicts a picture of his deceased brother on the side) was tagged, followed, and pulled over by apparently the officer that he had the incident with, other officers, and a certain police inspector.:cop:
Like usual, they were brandishing guns! This time, they were wielding automatic weapons. One of the officers poked the gun in the window of Mr. Bethel, in his face and uttered some words. Mr. Bethel then said that he was not afraid of what they were trying to pull as a scare tactic, and pushed the gun back out of the window. The gun supposedly hit one of the officers standing around the van, and that’s when all hell broke loose! The officers grabbed Mr. Bethel, pulled him thru the van window, and gun butt him! Then they beat on him in front of the supposed police inspector (who stood and watched) and left him there for dead afterwards. Mr. Bethel was found like two hours later with blood pouring from his head. He was taken to the hospital where he received like 16 – 18 stitches in the middle of his head!
I have just found this out from Mr. Bethel himself, after he called me on Sunday after leaving the hospital. On Sunday the media was at his house and covered this story. This will probably air tonight on ZNS, please watch and see for yourself what I constantly rant about! :hot: :hot: :hot:
First they kill his brother they trying to kill him! I wouldn’t even say what ya’ll want me to say, cause this is some serious stuff they trying to pull here. The continuation of the case in court is set for a day in November. I will inform you more.:shhh:
I was trying to keep his name a secret, but since he ga be on the news, his name is Dwayne, and he is a good friend of mine!
PS: been away on business, but never forgot about you guys!:D

Disapprove all you want, but facts is facts and Mother Pratt is in charge of these hooligans as well as the good law enforcement officers.
Problem is that the hooligans get the media play, but the good cops don't.
Interesting choice of words though...
Did you know that the word rebuke comes from 13th century and at the time meant 'to beat back, to butcher or strike'?

Dis why I don't trust/respect most officer now. If it ain't a police officer I related to, or know personally.....I don't trust you.

adidasboi987 10-09-06, - 06:03 PM i just watched the 5:00 news update the reporter said that Mr. Farquason acknowledged that the beating took place but contends that the incident is not connected to any other investigation.
I guess thats what they were told to say maybe.
Muffver Pratt and her PS were in a meeting for quite some time this afternoon.
HMMMM.....

lol..um..actually I was being totally facetious in what I said, since "I rebuke you" is what church folk tend to say.;)

:hot: :hot: :hot: :hot: Do you guys believe that sh....! I sit here waiting to hear on the 7 "o" clock news, some wrongful injustice be exposed by what I would say is a better, broader media source than a newspaper, (only because Bahamians hate to read or can't) and was shocked to hear the bull hearty and dieted version of what real took place!
The BLESSED Nerve of these liars! Thank GOD they can't censor the internet like they would like to.
How can they say that the incidents are not related! That's the most blatant lie casted in a week. Take it from someone that knows the whole story, they lying. Whoever trying to cover they crooked asses.
For the most part, the newspaper contained more info than the broadcast, even though it still was edited from what was oringinally stated. (NO BULL, I WAS THERE WHEN HE MADE THE STATEMENTS TO THE MEDIA ON SUNDAY)
This :wipe: has to stop man, when will the Bahamian populus ever get the full truth broadcast to them? This is so wrong!
I only could keep asking GOD to keep me out of trouble in this case cause if the situation gets out of hand with me, either me or my foe shall meet our demise! DEAD SERIOUS! :hammer: :hot: :hot:

Excalibur 10-09-06, - 10:51 PM Does no one else find it odd that the officer was charged so quickly before the court?
Not even a 24 hour lapse in time…….
I smell political involvement! Oh that’s right; he is a constituent of the good AG's area.
Real hardcore criminals are not charged and appear before the court this quick.

And nor should dey be! When an officer entrusted to uphold the law breaks it....the penalty should be twice as swift and severe as others that do the same! The police need to be above reproach at all times!:cop:
