haven't been here in a while. The real sad part is Bahamians have two mp fighting and a work permit to change a government over. We have so much more important issues to address, like making sure male and female defined as marriage in consititution, which party really supports hanging. When will Bahamians be given beach front land to sell as a resort development for free. Its sad, that these politicians creating stupidness to campaign over. We need real issues to debate. Like why can't we know who is getting crown land grants? Why is it so secretive? When will they pass campaign finance reform? When will there be a law establishing a code of ethics so we can fire MPs? If the government changes it will be same #*###%& all over again. Notice the opposition is NOT bringing any new ideas to the table. The present goverment complained over sale of land to foriegners now the opposition is doing the same. This is all a big joke. By the time you and I gain about 10 million for an investment there will be no beach front left in the bahamas to build a resort. As it stands now, the investers come with no money, pay some artist to create a concept, get free land from the governmet and tax breaks, then goes to a boat shows and sells the condos uses the money from the sale builds the condos with the money from the sales and then leaves the country. Oh yeah and some maids and security guards get a job. WHAT THE HELL? Atleast if a Privately Held Bahamian corporation did this then the people of the bahamas could benefit. We did it with the bride bond! I was scared when I heard the PM say he has 23 billion investment proposals but not enough land! Why the hell do you think they want to come here for? Free beach front property!What do you think the investors give under the table for these concessions anyway? May be thats why we can't give the land to Bahamians. We don't tip! Why does every one use Canadian consultants anyway? Aren't all the bribery scandals happen with canadian companies more than U.S. (maybe its just coincidence that both parties like canadians). Oh if i can have some canadian bacon to eat! Anyway just thought I would vent.
