OK...The rich Conchy Joes were gifted land and oppurtunity by their English brethren.BTW/a more ruthless bunch of bloodsuckers have never existed in modern history, all in the name of civilisation.Educated and motivated Black Bahamian entrepenuers are beginning to have the oppurtunity to take advantage of a Black majority rule and very soon begin to overtake the status quo, both financially and socially.A enormous change has occurred since the Brits left, all good for the country and especially for our people.Education, edcutation and motivation along with time will put us as a people in control of our success. It will come to pass....soon!:)

Which political party in this country don't! The last two governments in this coutry has taken "pandering" to the white man to "atlantis-scale" in their JA notion of anchoring each island!
We all the time talking about the Haitians taking over! They een the ones "boongying" the government into givin away our national heritage! Our FNM and PLP white people fire sale...I mean give-away is nothing but pandering away our projected life to white men!
Hell this government has made nearly 40-50,000 rich white people "bahamians" home owners in four short years, thus within reach of Bahamian status...the largest upper-class per capita in the history of mankind! Almost one quater of the population moving in because they now own homes and can stay here...combined with approximate 5% rich whites Bahamians already here...in addition to those "imports" working for big bucks all over the place!
This group will become our new Bahamian upper-class...making majority of Bahamians of Haitians, Cuban, Jamacain, TCI and indigenous all the underclass...just like they did to the Hawiians! Like PC says all the time...they ger need people to work. But he fails to understand that they will need "slaves" to do chores...the SH!T PART OF THE HOUSHOLD CHORES AT THAT!
Ever heard of upward gentrafication...google it...you will be amazed at what we are in for after those insane pandering to the white man by every government in the past...only thing, this government has become the Apollo 11 crew at doing the "pandering two-steps"!
This question is for you...from 1967 to now...how many "black" investors...Bahamian or otherwise were given such concessions and opportunities as "white" people were given under Pindling, Ingraham and to an insane extent under Perry Christie's governments? Our nation landscape is littered with "black" people who had to become dealers, political hanger-ons or crooked to make it among those governments! Rev. Gomez told the world that we have become a nation of "tiefers"...some even called us a nation for sale (HE FAILED TO TELL WHY WE HAD TO TIEF TO SURVIVE). HELL, WE ARE A NATION FOR SALE AGAIN...ONLY THIS TIME WE ARE LITERALLY SELLING THE DAMN GROUND FROM UNDER OUR FEET!
Why is this? Is it because the black man een gat no money...or he can't run no damn major investment? If you answer negtorry to both of the above...then it simply means that our governments have never seen it important to "pander"....yes, pander to the black man...period!
Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Carry on smartly now!:cutie:
girl licks you need to put this in the paper...spruce it up some to covey your message more viscerally (is that even a word) ill help you write it...in all the dailies to let folks know the real deal...

Mr Symonette said that he was rejected because he was white?????
AND YET STILL WILL ACCEPT THE OFFICE OF DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER IF THE FNM WINS THE UPCOMING ELECTION??
That doesnt make sense to me.........My view is that the party does what's right for the PARTY.....Fact is at this present time Hubert A. Ingraham as the leader is the best chance that the FNM has for winning the election.
COME ON MARVIN STOP WITH THIS RACIAL NONSENSE........If your agenda is to discredit the FNM and win votes for the PLP youre gonna need a whole hell of alot more gunpower than this:hammer:
I've noted a number of responses to the initial article but I chose to respond to this one because I considered it the most offensive and ridiculous of them all.
The other day someone said to me, "Marvin, if you want to hide something from Bahamians all you have to do is put it in writing." The truth of the matter is that some of us are clearly not as observant as we should be.
The opening article was written, by me, on October 21st, 2003. At that time Tommy Turnquest was still in charge of the Free National Movement as party's leader and there was a lot of shuffling going on as to the party's position on the Bahamas political hemisphere.
Since that time a number of changes have taken place including the reversal of the party's decision to allow Mr. Turnquest to remain as leader of the Free National Movement, during the most recent convention, and the return of the much more competent Hubert Alexander Ingraham to the helm.
I've never denied that Mr. Ingraham was the best choice; as a matter of fact, I've made this parenthetically clear on a number of occasions in public forums, including major newspapers, and, in the process, I've advanced my displeasure with the lackluster leadership of Mr. Turnquest and taken much flack for it. I was threatened by FNM Action Group with scandal if I didn't keep my mouth shut and my typing fingers off the keyboard.
I'm certainly not on a mission to discredit the Free National Movement or any other political entity in this country for that matter and I believe that I do my best to write as unbias as possible as when I write in this capacity it is for the general publics' consumption.
In future it is hoped that you would be quick to read, slow to respond and exercise vigilance (and caution) particularly when (or before) you decide to take me on.
