All of us maybe aware of the appointment of the new Head of the Royal Bahamas Defense Force. He is an Eleuthera boy coming from the heart and soul of Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera.

Clifford "Butch" Scavella, a true Marine a soilder of the first order will take up his post at an official ceremony on Thursday, Nov 2, 2006 in a public way. Having known this great gentlemen all of my life, I have nothing but the highest praise, the greatest respect for his work ethic, his personal honesty, his love and honour for service to his country and his God.

A good Methodist, a family man and just a decent person, Clifford is a noble soilder and at this time much deserving to restore honour and credibility to the force.

God Bless you, Butch and may God keep his loving arms of protection all around you in your line of duty.
