watsayu 11-21-06, - 09:24 AM Dang you see that to aye? Starts to feel better, maybe I'm not crazy.Hehehe.
Blame the FNM, typical of you all - Check your numbers in the house...,
Seagod 11-21-06, - 09:38 AM Essentially she has used her position to cause professional threat or harm to a Judge - which is tantamount to the government attempting to intimidate the judiciary.
This is not a political PLP/FNM issue to me, but rather one that has to do with the fundamentals of democracy.
If a ruling against the government is made, the government's recourse is to file an appeal of the ruling and await the appelate court's decision and potentially the privy council's ruling if it gets that high up.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
It will be interesting. I guess the PLP is playing limbo, seeing how low they can go.

We have leadership and it's the PLP. We have a shadow leadership in the house and Senate, and it is the FNM. Lyon's is a hack apparently and he is tearing us apart on an issue that we should all be on one accord.
We need to get scum off of the street. This political hackery from a part time judiciary is nonsense. If Maynard did it right or wrong is tangential...the fact of the matter is, she put up a good point and point we are forgetting in all of the egotistical point grabbing by an embarrased judicary-who have been sloppy and lazy at best-the point that there is a back-log and that we need to see justice done for greiving families.
The fact of the matter is, for Lyon's having a point of order is what a proper Democracy is supposed to do. He is supposed to have issue with a legislation, he feels is wrong or was fashioned improperly.
But, and BIG FLICKIN BUT, I will not sit her and let his ego and his fight for legal supremacy, stand in the way of what is right for grieving families.
I thank him for his point of order, but, it really is a non issue when we want to talk about putting real teeth into our jurisdiction.
We complain about crime and because someone wants to do something about crime, we get all particular and start crossing t's and dotting i's. Which can be fine, but, the bog down into this political filth is what it is...a political hack job, by a judge wanna be politician, with no discourse who is running off at the mouth because he was exposed for being a lazy lug and inefficient worker.
We need better than this.

If that is the case, why don't they (goverment) fired his azz for being inefficient?
Alien 12-06-06, - 06:01 PM If that is the case, why don't they (goverment) fired his azz for being inefficient?
I guess they would if they could. You can not fire a judge like that...you have to stick with him or her.
Lyons actually speaking, is the only part of this I truly admire...but, he is on the wrong side of justice on this one.
Families need to see justice served, not some second rate judge, bleet on about how smart he is.
