Whats up now. After that whole near strike fiasco in the summer theyhave been doing well with our power with maybe one or two power outages. Now in the past 3 days there have been so much, where i stopped setting the clock after power goes out.

See, since we got this nice weather its not so bad. But if it was in the stupid heat, wudda been a different story.

It is a darn shame when BEC cant keep it on in the cooler weather!

Do ya'll know that in case of an island wide black out, BEC's has Atlantis 1st on it's list to get power, then the hospitals?

Blackouts always happen around Christmas time. The union recently said they are on some kind of work to rule 'cause one of the leading employees was given a suspension.

It is disgusting for these things to happen this time of the year. [Anyone else ever notice that also around this time of the year lots of road works are carried out. I have been noticing this for about 20 years and always wondered why so many major road works are planned for this time of year!?]

The Hospitals come first. They also come first with oxygen, fuel and some other things.

Atlantis got their own direct connection to the Police Emergency Control room though .. also when they get an alarm they are priority over everyone else on the New Providence. :sailing:

Atlantis seems to get a priority with everything.

But this whole BEC thing. Why is it that every few months its some industrial issue. Is it just me or do they get it resolved just to have another one pop up. Or is it just that this same one issue hasnt been resolved yet.

Reminds me of teachers. Everytime I think a contract is signed, they are out there complaining about salaries again.

I saw the priority chart in BEC's control myself, Downtown is 2nd, which includes both hospitals.
We must ask the question, How did this happen?

So Atlantis is first and downtown is second? Whose third? The PM's home. IF this is the case then where are our priorities. I assume that hospitals, or atleast PMH be first.

The PM isn't even in the top 10, much to my surprise. Mother Pratt is though, because she's in The Grove, around 7th. The airport is 3rd. and that's all I really remember.
