I don't know what the facts are in this case but you sound bitter to me. If you have a grievance write a letter to the organizers and copy the newspapers and Minister of Youth and whomever else you feel should be made aware of your grievance perhaps your MP. This is election season, the best time to get politicians to do something. I don't wanna rain on your parade but just claiming malfeasance doesn't cut it. Write them a letter and ask them how each judge voted. Did all of the judges associated with this modeling agency choose this girl? Did anyone else? If you know none of these facts ask. If the judges associated with the modeling agency were no kinder to this girl than the other judges then perhaps she just was the best candidate.
The fact that this girl is related to the former winner is irrelevant. Mentioning it only calls into question your objectivity and motives. Do not mention that if your other points have merit let them stand alone. People from the same family generally share certain characteristics related to physical appearance, intelligence and poise. The same traits that enabled one girl to win will likely be present in her relative.


point well taken, i have already did all that and more with the proof, i do know the facts and i have given them to you. I have all judges scoring and comments, well thoses that was given by the committee members. Mentioning the little tidbits were just for your information only, to give you a betta light. My purpose of posting this was to reach other individuals who may not read the newspapers. The funny thing is the article in the newspaper titled 'miss teen bahamas a smashing success' information is also incorrect in so many ways. So word of mouth are sometimes more useful than others.

It was stated that the outcome of The Miss Teen Bahamas program was predetermined, that is not at all true!! NO1 judges contestants or committee knew who the winner would be until the winner was announced on the night of the pageant. It was stated that judges what not advised on what to look for when judging when indeed they where. You made a comment about Patrice Lockhart being affiliated with Britney Bain... now answer me this did Britney Bain place in the top 5 or win best float parade?? How that is commenting relevant?

You keep making these statements about yodephy dance and modeling agency ... I am apart of yodephy and NONE of the contestants not even the winner are members of yodephy and secondly none of the judges are affiliated with yodephy. Yodephy gives the winner of miss teen Bahamas a year scholarship in there modeling classes. Is that wrong in some way to you? These constant comments about yodephy are not true or necessary! Can you please answer me which one of the contestants is related to the founder (my mother) or any of the committee members?

Yes contestants will be yelled at to get on stage so that things can run as smoothly as possible the same thing is done at miss teen USA or miss universe. U also made a comment about the sound proof room. I have sat in that room with top five contestants not this year but in previous years and I can say that, that room my not be completely sound proof without music or television but sound from outside is muffled and with music you cannot here anything from the outside. Yes they where watching sponge bob square pants that does not distract or cause the answer for there final question to be any better watching TV calms contestants down to prepare for there final question.

I do agree Miss Sands was wrong for making the statement about not being forced to enter and I apologize on her behalf. I also apologize for any ads that did not make the booklet or any other mistakes that caused you any inconvenience. I will make it my job to make sure you get all of your moneys back. I would like for you to remember though that we are all human and we all make mistakes we are not perfect.

There have never been any problems with the tally master issue prior to this one no1 found it necessary to change anything.

I was at the presentation party on the 20th of November 2006 and If I where Diranne Tynes I would also leave the room and feel uncomfortable after the parents stressed how she was not suppose to be the winner and cheat when she worked hard for what she won. The attitudes I saw from some of those parents that night made me very upset... I have never seen such childish attitudes from adults. I wonder if the parents or you even once thought about how Miss Diranne Tynes feels about people saying untrue things about her and how she won the competition. If you where the parent of Miss teen Bahamas 06-07 how would you feel for your child knowing that such things where being said?

I am very hurt by the fact that you want Miss teen Bahamas to be discontinued I have seen so many young ladies lives bin changed and became so self confident and well rounded because of this program. For you to say you want this pageant stops makes me hurt and think so much of my mother and all the hard work she put in to make this program. I promised her myself that I would not ever let this pageant end and I would do as much as I could to keep this program together. As far as I am concerned this is what our country needs to help developed our youth. There will always be those who feel as if someone should not have one. Every year there someone who would yell "she cheat she cheat". Why can’t we go up to sum1 and just say congratulations you did well. Even to those who did not place or win. I think all of the contestants did a wonderful job but there can only be one winner.

how old r u? please tell me, older than thirty, that u feel u could somehow control the shortcomings and process of the winner.
QUESTION:Past winners have not been related to u nor the committee members? Past winners have not been a part of the dance and modeling agency?

I understand ur feelings towards this matter, but unfortunately neither u or i would or could have made a difference. This was a problem brewing from years back before u even knew who to spell your name.

Whatever, promises u made to your mom, i imploy you to keep but at the same time don't sweep it under the rug, dear. Face it head on, i realize u know the winner personally and hurt for her. Unfortunately the winner also made this her problem when, she herself open her mouth about what was going on behind close doors. I have watched and listen to all the contestants and in fact three of them have very little to be desired as a young lady and one was Ms.Tynes.

Mentioning Patrice Lockhart was a point of reference; of how the committee continued to work unprofessionally in this setting. No; Ms Bain did not place in the top 5 or the float; the actual winner of the float was also inadequate regardless how much was spent on it, BASED ON THE COMMITTE RULING ON FLOAT CRITERIA.

The POINT IS .......... UNJUSTICIE WAS DONE. And until u remove the legacy from your eyes u will not see it for what it is or have turned into.

There is NO WAY u could justify the way the girls were yelled and pulled at Ms thompson, regardless if u THINK that is done at other BEAUTY PAGEANTS of GROWN WOMEN. Enough respect and dilligence should be used for TEENAGER who were just groomed to act accordingly.

If i as Diranne Tynes i would have forfieted the crown when, i myself knew what was predetermined. I am sure u were there and heard her final question response. I DON'T THINK SO D'VANYA GET REAL.

Don't u agree if every year there is a problem with a particular segment (COMPETITION) of the program it should be discountinued until it has been revamped

Those parents were there to represent their daughters who felt betrayed by the entire system. This is y they were asked to leave not to be privay to the conversation but once again a committe member demanded they come in. That was when u entetered also. So much of what is being said u were not there for most of it. u came in on the tail end of it.

Once again on behalf of the parents, contestants and supporters i apologize for the way u may have felt and hope in the future u can get beyond the buddy system or who know who and re-establish the competition part of the program with credible individuals for those have lost their credibility.

Do yourself a favour and do not take what you read on here too seriously. No person on here has the power to ban your pageant. No matter what is said on here your pageant will continue and continue to be successful if it is well run and entertaining. Please concentrate on improving your product and do not waste your time attempting to reason with people that may or may not want to be reasoned with. I have never seen your pageant and have no intention to, but I would hope that you just concentrate on improving your pageant and not take the criticism too seriously.
