Research says that the man turned himself into the police, (VERY GOOD SOURCE). The police were no way close to finding this person.

So are the young men they are holding tied in with this man? Or are they innocent? Very scary to think about if they are holding these young boys and they are innocent, because the man confess to all 5 boys, and that was how they found the skeletal remains (not from looking)

Here's what I've read in the USA

The man is 35, a bahamas native, he confessed to killing 6, but only 5 have been reported.

The part where is says he killed 6 is under the "strage twists" part.

Yeah your right, i found out that it was a man that was killed along with these boys, but this man was killed sometime in November by this same person. Boy it's sad hey, we get more information for foreign press than we do here at home~

Bahamas Man Charged After 4 Boys Vanish

By DOMINIC DUNCOMBE
Associated Press Writer
NASSAU, Bahamas
A hardware store stock clerk was charged with five counts of murder on Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of four boys and a young man on Grand Bahama Island.

Cordell Farrington, 35, was charged in the Freeport court with the murders of Jamaal Robinson, 22, Mackinson Colas, 11, Junior Reme, 11, DeAngelo McKenzie, 13, and Desmond Rolle, 14.

All of the boys had worked as bag-packers at the Winn Dixie Supermarket in Freeport and played video games nearby. Farrington worked as a clerk at Kelly's Freeport Ltd., a hardware store located near the Winn Dixie.

McKenzie disappeared in May along with Colas and Jake Grant, 12. Reme vanished June 30 and Rolle on Sept. 28.

Four minors were charged earlier this month with manslaughter in connection with Grant's disappearance. Grant allegedly drowned, according to the minors charged, but his body has not been found yet.

Piles of skeletal remains were found Sunday in the Barbary Beach area.

"It's a hard thing to deal with," said Hercules Knowles, DeAngelo's uncle. "It ends the waiting. It's something (now) you can put to rest."

Christopher Lowe, a manager at the hardware store where Farrington worked, said Farrington had worked there for three months and passed all of his background checks.

Farrington, who reportedly has three children of his own, disappeared from work last Thursday at noon.

"His disposition was always happy, cheery and never miserable," Lowe said. "There was absolutely nothing to indicate anything like this."

Police in the Bahamas were assisted by the FBI and British officers from Scotland Yard. A retired FBI profiler and a former Las Vegas homicide detective were also sent to help by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, based in Alexandria, Va.

Our whole country is in shock. A very distressing outcome. The devastated families who have lost their sons are in everyone’s thoughts and prayers.

The strange twist, might not be so strange. I remember a few years ago in Nassau, a child who worked part time for some shop (can't rember exact details) went missing and was found decomposed in some type of container in the Claridge Rd area. There was some mention of sexual assult also. I think some mentally challenged person was blamed for that crime. Makes you wonder hey ? This chap (Cordell) use to live in Nassau and use to work at Pritchard's in the Claridge Rd area( so the press said). Maybe the law needs to look into this. I find it odd that he just start killing when he moved to Freeport.

I think that it is just sad, sad, sad. A young apparantly healthy , black Bahamian young man charged with serial murder. These really are the last and evil days. Bahamians we need to pray.

Not very likely that at his age, that he just now became a pedophile or killer.

That's why I would be very interested in his life history. It is totally possible that he did kill that other child, and then move before he was caught. Just as he did in these cases. He worked nearby where the boys worked, therefore making them victims of opportunity to him. (easy prey and targets) He quit jobs, vanished for a while, reappeared, got another job, and so on. He gained their trust, and murdered them. Sounds awful, but I wouldn't be surprised if he sexually assaulted them as well. Sounds like a true pedophile/serial child killer to me.
Yes, it is sick. I read about, and study them everyday. Knowledge is power, and unfortunately, pedophiles are everywhere. I did read today that Cordell's sister is a police officer.

It is NOT surprising that he helped in the "search" for the boys. Serial killers/murderers often do this to try to get suspicion off them, as well as wanting to look like the average concerned citizen. True to form, as well.
So far, from what I read, Cordell is true to form as far as serial killers go.
Sad, but true,
Rhonda:(
ps. if any of you are interested. see www.crimelibrary.com (http://www.crimelibrary.com) and read about serial killers or other topics of crimes.

Well nae-nae you say it is sad sad sad...

If it was a foreigner or perhaps even someone who didn't fit your "healthy black Bahamian" stereotype then im sure you would not think it sad but you would have strung him up already...you and most of the country. It's sad (but not really surprising) that everything has suddenly gone oh so quiet on this case now that the expected 'freak' type person has not committed the crime but someone who looks like one of us!!

And to think that he had to surrender twice before the police took any notice of him....a total embarrassment for our police force.

Don't expect them to look like monsters, they don't. Serial Killers look just like the average citizen.

Has there been any new word on what will happen to the young boys they arrested in light of the recent finding of the 6th body and the boxes found in Cordell Farrington's possesion with bones in them, and marked?

I posted it on the Cordell Farrington and the missing boys forum.

Thank you,
Rhonda
