Clearly. This reminds me of the other day when this woman here was going around handing out flyers for this "store" she has..and she is one of those people who like to act sophisterated.

Hmm. And alot of those China replicas are poor quality too. The handles pop rather quickly or the zippers come apart or the material unravels or the stitching is off..and other times they arent actually true replicas because the designs they put out in many cases you cant find from the original designer - this is especially true of Gucci, for instance.

It is illegal to have immitation/knock off bags being sold in the Bahamas, just the other day the Bahamas was on that copyright infringement list. Nevertheless customs allow these products to be imported. In Jamaica they charge the book value of all name bags/items, whether they are knock offs or not. If you bring a $30 receipt for a bag, however the book says it should be worth $400, customs will charge you the tax based on $400.

I hear the Chinese has a whole sale depot warehouse on East Street South, where Bahamians can purchase knock off bags to resell.
