Why don't we try our own minds for a change. We don't need to seek a God to solve our problems when in fact he may be the very cause.

I don't think "He" (God) is the problem. The problem lies in how we interpret the Holy Books that speak of Him.

Atrocities Mistakes and Misunderstanding in the name of Christ.

I am starting this thread not to turn anyone away from Christ or the Creator. But to make you think about the so-called Christian leaders and how people follow them blindly. In the past and even now they used the church and the name of Christ for their own gain, while murdering torturing and mutilating hundreds of thousands of men women and children.

How is it that all these so called Christian leaders of today want you to follow them blindly when the history of their teaching have done so much harm to so many people. Are you really that much a fool that you would harm some one just because your pastor says you should?? Harming some one could be as simple as discrimination.

“Oh don’t mind the mistakes of the past we are not wrong now!!!!!!” Is what 1 pastor told me.

"I say yeah right."

christ never asked us to follow blindly, but to act on faith..that is totaly different. in fact christ wanst us to develop fre will, and understanding on our own.
no disputing this!

Allot of persons called themselves Christians back then and they weren't.

The best way to try and spoil the name of someone or a group of people is to disguise yourself as one of them and do wrong things in their names.

I for one know that True Christians who believe in the name of Jesus Christ will never do the things you described in your post. So when you say "Christians" did this and "Christians" did that you need to be more specific for the reader.
Christians did commit atrocities in the name of Christ. You cannot twist out of it by saying they were not Christians. They were mislead, made misinterpretations let’s not mention lied for profit and convenience and out of ignorance.
Just as I cannot tell you, you are wrong and misinformed about your discrimination of homosexuals and transgender because you feel as the Christian you are you have the right to do this. You can’t even justify you view in the teachings of Christ. You turn to other teachings to which you your self can’t live up to. Oh sorry you make the excuses that all in the Bible is the teaching of Christ, The Creator and Holy Ghost as 1. Ooops that’s what they did when they these committed atrocities. They turned to the Bible and twisted the words as Onward Christian solders marched on none Christian cities and killed every man woman and child.

Name people Christ discriminated against.

"They turned to the Bible and twisted the words as Onward Christian solders marched on none Christian cities and killed every man woman and child".

"Name people Christ discriminated against".

Vicky, the above quotes are from one of your postings. I believe you are referring to a part of the old testament when God instructed the Israelites to destroy everyone in a certain city, including men, women, babies, etc. [ can't give full details now, but I can look it up ].

This sounds cruel, especially destroying the young innocent children! I don't know that any Bible scholar can give a good explanation as to why God commanded this to be done. I think there are a couple of other instances in the Bible where God commanded His people to do certain things that seemed cruel and unreasonable! But He is God!!! And who are we to question Him?

You said to name people Christ discriminated against. What about the Scribes and the Pharasees whom He condemned so severely? -- "Woe to you Scribes and Pharasees, hypocrates............" Remember?

One thing for sure, if you ever start to follow the Christian faith, I believe you will be world class. You sure would NOT be lukewarm -- and God will love that; He would not be able to "spue you out of His mouth".

For the same zeal and fire with which you speak against Christians, you would use to glorify God; you would be on fire for Him! [Remember St Paul?].

I am referring to the Crusades

Ah but I do glorify the Creator and I follow the teachings of Christ and I am an open jar willing to hear all. But I will never hate what I know my self to be I will never hate just because others interpret the Bible their way. I will stand against all who discriminate against a type of human being I will stand for all to be equal. I also believe all religions lead to the Creator. Even those that hate people like me have their purpose to the Creator. There is nothing and I mean nothing that does not serve the purpose of the Creator not even Satan.
Many will oppose what I will say now but to me the Creator is like the symbol of yen and yang. A complete circle no beginning no ending with 4 parts 1 good 1 bad and each having a little of the other and yet not the same. 1 part male 1 part female and a part of each male and female in each and yet not the same. Like day and night but also dawn before sunrise and dusk before sun set all the same and yet not the same. The Creator is in all of us as we are in the Creator. Part of haven is here now we just have to make it haven or we make it hell. If you feel hate from another you know hell. If you know love from another you know haven. That is why you should love and treat other, as you want to be loved and treated.

I hope I said this right

Well Vicky, I often wondered why you seem to be knocking christians so hard -- now I understand, you said you were referring to the Crusades. I am ignorant of the Crusades but I shall read up on it.

I don't know how many people Christians killed in the name of Christ, but I heard of a great number of Christians who were put to death by being thrown to lions and all sorts of other cruel means because of their belief in Christ! I don't know if you ever read or heard about this slaughter of Christians for their belief -- I don't recall that you ever mentioned it. One thing is stressed in those accounts was that the Christians who were being put to death for their belief in Christ were happy and eager to have their lives taken for such a great cause!

In some of your postings against Christians, it used to bother me because I never knew Christians could be so cruel and uncaring!

As far as I know Christians will accept anyone and recieve them in their church, and they can become members when they accept Christ and are baptized. In the case of lesbians and homosexuals, they would not be allowed to preach or occupy some kind of official position in the church if their lifestyle is known. (I don't know if this also applies to transgenders). Now I guess this is the kind of discrimination you are so bitterly against. But isn't this understandable, because the Bible speaks so strongly against this lifestyle that Christians would disapprove of it?

No Christian would (or should) hate anyone for their lifesttyle. As far as I know, the only persons Christians are supposed to hate are satan and his wicked demons! As far as I know a Christian is a follower and a disciple of Christ and if he (or she) shows hatred for any other human being, they are NOT Christians. (I guess it is OK to hate what some people do, but definitely NOT the persons themselves). Chrisrtians ar supposed to have the mind of Christ! It baffles me when you say that Christians hate you because of how you were born. As far as I know, Christians believe that because God is a God of order and love and all things good, He would not allow persons to be created and come into the world with those kinds of proclivities. So most Christians believe that for persons to be born with lesbian and homosexual inclinations, that some kind of satanic or demonic influence must have caused this! I am not saying that Christians are right or wrong for having this view, I am just saying what I understand them to believe. So in their thinking, they would sympathise with these persons and pray that they would be delivered.

You say you believe all religions lead to the Creator. I don't understand this, because Christ Himself spoke about false religious leaders, and how only 2 of the 7 churchess in the book of Revelation were pleasing to Him!

I guess you are right when you say part of Heaven is here now. The Bible teaches that Christ brought the Kingdom of God to earth when He came to earth. Later.

Great Demos also read upon the Inquisitions. Witch-hunts look up http://www.malleusmaleficarum.org/
Even the colonization of the western world Indians were slaughtered and sold as slaves if they did not convert to Christianity.

Christians were also tide to poles covered in oil and then burnt alive as well. Hence the Roman candle. But 2 wrongs will never make a right.

I am not against Christians I just want them to think. Some how they don't think they can be flawed as long as they can justify their hate from words in the Bible. Some how they feel everyone must conform to their ideals Christian or not.

No Christian would (or should) hate anyone for their lifesttyle. There is not 1 church that would invite or welcome me to come in dressed expressing my gender identity.. I am born male I have had gender dysphoria since 4 grade. Thus I am born with gender dysphoria. My mother told me of a procedure done on me because I was not developed properly. It was minor but never the less it was there. As far as trying to get rid of it been there done that and bought the T shirt to. As far as I know, Christians believe that because God is a God of order and love and all things good, He would not allow persons to be created and come into the world with those kinds of proclivities. The leaders not the religions. Christ also said the path is a narrow 1 and that the Creator knows you. Christ also taught in my Fathers house there are many mansions. Thus the path is as individual as you are and the many mansions represents room for all kinds of people.

I guess you are right when you say part of Heaven is here now. The Bible teaches that Christ brought the Kingdom of God to earth when He came to earth. Later.

Hi Vicky, just one little point you made I shall touch on at this time. You said "Many mansions represents room for all kinds of people". Fine, but that is provided they have repented and given their lives to Him. There are some (perhaps many) people who are willfully wicked and could not care less about anyone or anything. And their conscience is telling them all the time to stop their wicked ways, but it would seem that if they were to live for hundreds of years, they would continue in their wicked ways. Now these are the people the Bible warns us about -- they cannot enter the kingdom of God! Some people believe that everyone would one day live in Heaven, but that just cannot be so, according to the Bible!

I am glad you pointed out according to the Bible. No matter how willfully wicked people are it is not our place to judge them just treat them as we would want to be treated. However this does not mean you should not defend yourself from harm.
