Well, like Delroy said, Democracy has it's roots in the "drawing lots" (lottery) of Judaism, perhaps the Council, and it's supporters have realized that Bahamians can think for themselves, question authority, act on their own behalf and control the level YAHWEH plays their respective destinies.

Separation of church and state, adults being prepared to make up their own minds, and the government refusing to bow to this arcane body of collared busy bodies, are all wonderfully democratic ideals now being undertaken.

Bravo Bahamas....we are finally becoming a more mature nation with adults in control who are no longer prepared to yield to this embarrassing pressure group blight on our sense of maturity in making our own decisions.

Christian Council......I laugh you out of existence and good riddance. You are a total anachronism. Back to your pulpits and preach to the dwindling numbers of people who still give you any regard. I do not want my life littered with your silly pronouncements. I have my own strength of conviction in what is right and wrong as a law abiding citizen, I have my own faith which i choose to practice daily and not impose upon others. Please do the same and let those elected attempt to govern unencumbered by your misguided (and often power hungry) pressures.

When you, I or the Christian Council become aware of these low grade entertainers coming in, decisions have been made and permits generally granted.

Many people weighed in on the One Love Concert. I expressed my concerns in a widely published article, "A Calamitous Compromise." It is posted on this forum under New Issues.

And by the way, I never sought to defend the youth of this nation from the evils of rap. Rap in and of itself is not bad...it is a musical art form that people use and abuse. I sought to defend them from the likes of Trina, 50 Cent and Elephant Man and their moral sewage disguised as entertainment.

I am not trying to defend the Christian Council because I can tell you now that they have something stronger backing them.

I feel that if a parent doesn't care about the moral intake of their child that is their choice because God placed them as rulers of their homes. This nation is headed for a rude awakening because we once knew God and are now turning our backs on Him.

We would have mercy upon us if we never knew Him but because we did, we have no excuse.

every one has rights, and shouldnt be up to any one organization to make the rules for the majority to follow!

unless directly, it would be harmful to the state in general who cares...

the bahamian public in general should stop passing the buck on raising their own damned kids...
we blame violent music video games and movies for our kids actions...and never our selves..or the kids!

becasue the adult majority of the population are not being straight with the bahamian kids, and are not giving the children the right mindset to live responsibly..cause to me they are too busy trying to live forever!
