Shotgun. I have a Maverick 88, (lots of people who purchase their shotguns from Outdoor Sportsman have this model), but I plan on getting a Semi-Auto Remington pretty soon.

The Maverick is ideal for wild hog, but pigeons are a real test of skill due to the short barrel.

Have you tried a full choke on the barrel for pigeons? What load do you use for Hogs, 00 Buck or Slugs?

I found that the best gun for all around hunting is a side-by-side double barrel 12 gauge. No chance of jamming as with a pump or semi-auto. The fire power is not as good but I figure if one can't hit a bird with two shot it is not likely one can hit it with six shot - even if you see the bird long enough to fire that many! :)

I was looking at ordering some chokes online, but never got around to it you know. Probably because of my plans to get the other shotgun.

Slugs are awesome, would make a hog's head explode. :sparky:

Your gun did not come with a full set of chokes? :eek: My Winchester pump came with everything from full to open. That is why I like Winchester the best! :)

PS a Slug can bring down an Elephant! (Well almost! If you are lucky!)

Additionally, Gun Licences dont have no picture so even if you have your licence and dont have no other ID how can you prove you are the rightful owner of the gun.

And like some said earlier, everyone I know with a licenced shot gun carries it in the trunk in a gun bag (or whateva its called). They dont have it in the car in plain view

The police usually does the right thing. The problem is we only hear about it when they do the wrong thing. I have had good and bad experiences with the police. The officer that instigated the bad experience is no longer with the police. I still am upset about the experience but am satisfied that the police do a relatively good job in this country.

Well I guess that you are one of the very few elite people that don't always run into or targeted by the bastardly pigs. By the way, SHARKY'S case has been put of till Feburary 12th and his brother Dwayne (the cop that was attacted by another cop) case has been put of till Feburary also. You think that they would ever get around to providing justice for that family and community? :gi:
