Put some sardines on a piece of bread. Add a dash of black pepper. Place it in a grill or baker oven where the heat source is at the top - about five or so minutes until the fish bubbles. Serve with a bit of lime!

Be careful with the pepper and spices...they can give you hemmeroids which can lead to colon cancer.

they can give you hemorrhoids which can lead to colon cancer.

No research I have seen supports this statement. The symptoms of both are similar, so anyone with hemorrhoids should be carefully checked to make sure they do not have colo-rectal cancer.

When I get my sardine jones, I prepare it the same way as conch salad, with all the ingredients, just replace the conch for the sardines. One else I do though, I ALWAYS remove the "guts" out of the sardines(cant stand it!)

On the part of the pepper though, I read some research which suggest that fresh peppers, especially the cayenne, may actually PREVENT Prostate cancer!
I found that interesting, since we Bahamians always thought that it was CAUSING this particular cancer.LOL

Do not pay attention to that CIA propaganda; that is a conspiracy to kill off the rest of the black men who are either not in jail (or on the way), or gay....stay away from de peppa iya...I think prostate cancer is highest in Jamdown per capita, based on spy reports...

"Although there is still no conclusive evidence that diet is directly associated with the development of prostate cancer, many experts feel that a diet high in fat may increase prostate cancer risk".

"So Ackee and saltfish and pear (avocado) which is eaten heavily here,(Jamaica) is not at all prostate friendly"

Just two quotes! No mention of peppers...or the CIA!!

If I was CIA and I wanted to kill off a group of people I am sure I could think of a better method that peppers!!!!! lol. (By the way, cayenne, found in red peppers, is good for the heart.)
