NASSAU, Bahamas — Anna Nicole Smith's romantic partner, longtime lawyer and alleged father of her infant daughter provided her son with one of the drugs that killed him — then tried to cover it up by flushing the remaining pills down the toilet, a report says.
The charges surfaced Monday as Bahamian officials agreed to conduct a formal inquest into the death of 20-year-old Daniel Smith in his mother's hospital room there in September, sources told the celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
More than 20 witnesses will be called to testify, including one who allegedly insists that Howard K. Stern gave Daniel methadone before he died.

Are you insinuatiing that Stern got the drugs from Shane Gibson? I hope that that is not what you are implying becasue we do not have any evidence of that in the public domain. Shane Gibson's rep should not be sullied by rumour and innuendo, but if you have something to say about it ,we are all prepared to listen ( I think!).

That has to be a rumour and a nasty silly one at that. This type of talk, can damage the true seriousness of this matter.

I'm not surprised at all. He should have known better than to flush pills down the toilet in full view. I suspect that he had a crude perception of how things work down here.

I'm pretty sure that Anna would have been involved. It doesn't make sense to me that her fiance would kill her son just so his own child could inherit. Once they were married he'd have the fortune if she were to die.

No it's more logical that both he and Anna conspired to kill her son in order to have a better chance in court. The lawyers would have a field day using the situation of Anna's second child being born days prior to her first's death.
Don't forget we're dealing with potentially hundreds of millions of dollars being awarded to whomever comes out on top.

They probably didn't expect such sophisticated investigation and medical examination protocols either. The plan was to have a baby in the Bahamas, enabling her to one day apply for citizenship. They tried to buy a house and everything. It's simple enough. Head back to the U.S. for a tear-jerking trial with live announcements and updates courtesy of Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, mayhap a little Larry King.

Next step would have been to win the trial hands-down. Move back to the Bahamas and live in luxury far from U.S. jurisdiction.

This guy may just be a dirty scum bag. And if he flushed the pills down the toilette, we see what kind of scum bag he really is. How would he know, that the pills is what caused his death?
Did he do a toxicology report on the body himself right in the room, before the police came to take it to the morgue?
How would he know, that the pills is what killed the boy in the first place...why would he flush them?
Why would he have them and why would he look for them anyways!?!?

I think this is plain and simple murder if not voluntary manslaughter.

i want the next time u come to nassau customs look at the visitors customs line. those people breeze right through.

i will never for get this one time i came in and a British Airways flight had just landed. as i stood in line to be given the third degree i watched what had to be 250 pple from that flight sail right through customs.
