View Full Version : What Christ said about homosexuality Alien 12-11-03, - 09:36 PM vicky scares me... makes me wonder if we didnt have laws in place what some of these people would do to you!! Delroy 12-11-03, - 09:49 PM Hi CG It is amazing how these Bible pounding so call them selves Christians back down when confronted with their own words. Then they just run and hide when new facts show that the things they hold to be true are not true. Come on you homophobic Christians what did Christ say about Homosexuality. If Christ did not have an issue with it why do you???????? Exactly....! What did Jesus say about Homosexuality? Nothing! I think He was making it clear that His Father (Commander and Chief) had said enough about that subject. Alien 12-11-03, - 09:53 PM Exactly....! What did Jesus say about Homosexuality? Nothing! I think He was making it clear that His Father (Commander and Chief) had said enough about that subject. exactly...why pound a dead horse!! jesus didnt quote or refere to all of the comandments either in specificity..but we all associate it with him!! why should homosexuality hold some refference for us to reconsider....only homosexuals are making this an issue...it isnt to christians!! Vicky 12-12-03, - 11:53 AM Vicky, you asked "What did Christ said about homosexuality?" The answer is, Nothing. What his silence on the subject means is open to interpretation. But there is one thing Jesus did not like and spoke out against, hypocrites. There are a lot of sins in the Bible for us to chose from. Many of us do them on a regular bases. Judging from the number of "out of wedlock babies" that are born in the Bahamas (and world wide) the heterosexual population is doing a lot of fornication and committing a lot of adultery. But somehow we don’t see that as a sin any more - well, not like it used to be! Jesus said nothing on homosexuality but he did say, and I’ll paraphrase "Take the plank out of your own eye, then you will be able to take the speck out of your brother’s eye" He also said something else. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone..." Are any of us really in a position to condemn anyone else? As I see it, the real sin is hypocrisy because none of us has clean hands, at least not clean enough to pick up a stone! The real sin is in how we treat each other Christ said this is the 2nd greatest commandment. I am sure Bhudda said something like it. I am sure hypocrisy is up there. Vicky 12-12-03, - 12:07 PM Exactly....! What did Jesus say about Homosexuality? Nothing! I think He was making it clear that His Father (Commander and Chief) had said enough about that subject. Here we go again Delroy How many times is Homosexuality reffered to in the Bible??? 6 let me say it again 6 times. Of those 6 times 4 are referances to the Holyness Code. What is the purpose of the Holyness Code???? Here let me help you Leviticus 27 34 These are the commandments which the Creator commanded Moses for the children of Israel in Mount Sinai. I am not an Israelite, Jew or Hebrew. Nor do I live in Mount Sinai. Vicky 12-12-03, - 12:15 PM vicky scares me... makes me wonder if we didnt have laws in place what some of these people would do to you!! What are you refering to here? What sort of things would we do?? Why do I scare you? People should be more scared of some of these Christian so called leaders. Who if they had their way laws would be in place to force people to practice their idea of Christanity. Just like the Taliban. Vicky 12-12-03, - 12:29 PM exactly...why pound a dead horse!! jesus didnt quote or refere to all of the comandments either in specificity..but we all associate it with him!! Sorry not every one. For many the teachings of Christ are seperate from the other writings in the Bible. Christ him self taught and lived apposed to the Holyness Code. That is why he was killed. why should homosexuality hold some refference for us to reconsider....only homosexuals are making this an issue...it isnt to christians!! No not just homosexuals. Just check out history and the people killed and outcast in the name of Christ. How about lefthanded people. Christians outcast and killed them by the hundereds of thousands. why should lefthanded people hold some refference for us to reconsider....only lefthanded people are making this an issue...it isnt to christians!! Alien 12-12-03, - 01:58 PM No not just homosexuals. Just check out history and the people killed and outcast in the name of Christ. How about lefthanded people. Delroy 12-12-03, - 03:14 PM Here we go again Delroy How many times is Homosexuality reffered to in the Bible??? 6 let me say it again 6 times. I am not an Israelite, Jew or Hebrew. Nor do I live in Mount Sinai. It doesn't matter how many times it was reffered to in the Bible Vicky; Sin is Sin. Priscilla H Carey 12-12-03, - 03:27 PM As for me I am a work still in progress. But I know in Who I believe and one day I will see Him face to face Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." There are people who accept The Bible as the Word of God, from the first book to the last, I am one of them, there are people who call themselves Christians, they attend church services and Bible studies; there are different denominations created through the years within our Christian faith. Christians accept that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and believe in the Holy Trinity. We accept there is only one way to heaven, one way to salvation by believing in Jesus Christ, His death and His resurrection. A true follower of Christ should not be judgmental, arrogant, proud, although we should be the first ones to recognize we are not perfect. Jesus the Christ is the only perfect One. There were religious mongers then as there are now, Christians included, who in the name of their religion and their interpretation, have committed and continue to commit bad deeds and crimes. Jesus spoke about them as hypocrites; he shall judge them in the day of Jesus Christ. Christians the true followers of Jesus need to keep in mind His teachings, His humility, His teachings of love and forgiveness; His message of salvation to all mankind. However, with His message He also calls us to make a commitment to repent and turn away from sin; sin not as we see it; but as He describes it. After all Jesus came down from heaven, He’s the only one besides the dead people who has seen it to describe it to us who’re still living on earth. There are people who do not accept The Bible as the Word of God and Jesus as the Son of God. They may believe in other deity and follow other faith, beliefs and practices. This is every human being’s right and God created us with our own will and ability to make our choices. I presented before, the link between Jesus Christ and the laws of Moses in the book of Matthew wherein He said He “I did not come to cancel the laws of Moses”; however, the argument and question presented continues, because for those of you who do not accept this truth The Bible is not the Word of God, and the authors were not inspired by God to write it., and Jesus said nothing about homosexuals. But I say again The Bible records what it was said in the different books and it was; and is the Word of God. We the Christians accept it as is. But you who don’t believe in The Bible, Jesus Christ the Son of God, will continue to argue about the issue of what He did not say about homosexuality. Will continue to believe whatever you choose to believe; and that’s alright, it is your choice. I can show you what the Holy Scripture, The Bible, says in the book of Romans, but you will continue to argue, because you’ll say Romans was written by Paul, the former persecutor of Christians and you don’t accept Paul or the other Apostles as followers of Jesus Christ. Romans 1:24-32: 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. and Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. 12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. After all is said and done, the question you should ask yourselves is not What Christ said about homosexuals, but where will you spend ETERNITY? If you were to die today, where will you be in the after life? In my opinion, that’s the more important question! We will never resolve the world’s problems and we will always have different opinions, beliefs accept or reject other issues; BUT at the end, when we go, we will go it ALONE. Are you His follower? Have you accept Him as your personal Saviour? Alien 12-13-03, - 12:13 PM the power has shifted!! vicky no longer is wining!!! Vicky 12-14-03, - 12:20 PM As for me I am a work still in progress. Women should not wear gold jewelry Women should not wear expencive clothes Look at your photo Hmmm. Women should not braid their hair I am always happy to hold up a mirror for you. Judge not lest you be judged by the same laws you judge others. Vicky 12-14-03, - 01:08 PM das exactly what i am talkin about!!! we have murderes and villians on every religion..why this so called hard on for christianity?? muslims slaughtered hundred with the ottoman empire, and the saudi nomads... ghengis khan butched millions!!! king david killed repeatedly!!! but they do not take away from the religion... and like i have told you before until you are ready to seperate the word from the person saying the word you will always be at a loss!!! and please stop tryin to twist my words by wirting in between them..people may assume its me,and i dont really bash any culture or religion!!! I am have a dislike for any religion, race, culture any group/society of people that outcast Kill any other group/society of people. The reasion for picking on Christians is that their influance outcast my brothers and sisters. Their influance denies true freedom here in the Bahamas. You don't like me twisting your words. You don't like me changing your words. Is it that you don't like to see similarities in your hate when I hold up a mirror for you. I will use any and every word you and anyone else use to speak against any type of people as best as I can. If you and anyone else does not like it so be it. If I see you or anyone else in need I will not turn my back on you because you dislike me for who I am. I will do my best to help you. Even if you still would hate me after I would still do my best. Vicky 12-14-03, - 01:18 PM the power has shifted!! vicky no longer is wining!!! Its not about who is winning or power. Its about loving and respecting one another no matter how different we see them. Its about using the Creators word to be good to one another. Not to look for reasions to hate. You can find these words in all religions. Satan loves when you so called Christians find reasions to hate. Vicky 12-14-03, - 01:34 PM Point Every referance to homosexuality you can find in the Bible comes from the Holyness Code. What is the purpose of the Holyness Code????? I will not be posting until after the Holidays. May the Creator Bless you and yours with health and happyness this holiday season. Take the time and hug your loved ones a few seconds longer. Find someone you dislike and find a reasion to like them again and give them a hug and mean it. If you are to shy to give a hug offer a hand of friendship and mean it. Be good to yourself and one another. |
