My only issue with this is, why they always want to bring Scotland Yard or the FBI into we lil ol country. :taped2:

i agree .. its demeaning ... there is always the CDU .. i think they keep a distance from the other cops enough to do the job right .. mind you his son is dead and he claims he was innocent .. I think he has a right to be upset and have a proper investigation, especially going by the information in the article. But im certain the investigation can be done properly by us .. just have to pick the right people.

This situation is really sad...This family has been visiting Abaco since I was a little girl...They had a lifetime of beautiful memories of our country until this weekend! Really awful! I remember when Mark moved here last year, he was so proud to be living in the Bahamas. I hope his family finds answers and can heal. My heart goes out to them.

But you'll see how the gentleman's father view our laws and police...Personally, I was a little hurt...

Why? Sometimes I feel the same way as the father does.

When were you ever on the wrong side of either the law or the police to develop such a skeptical attitude.

This man is having an emotional tantrum feulled by the grief of loosing his son. It can make one say things they shouldn't.

My question is who is going to pay for the independant investigation that he is insisting for, him or the Govenrment of the Bahamas?

And why is it that alot of expats move to the Bahamas with no faith in our justice system?

There purpose is not to live with us, amongst us, sharing and helping...but just to be here...to hell with everyone else, our values, our beliefs, our culture...

No bey! I mean in the sense that sometimes I feel that the RBPF is so corrupt, that justice will not be served for victims, if they must seek assistance from the RBPF to investigate officers of the RBPF.

I don't know if we have a department similar to Internal Affairs in the US. But otherwise, who's to say that some underhand negotiations won't transpire?

You understand what I mean now?
