Along side the National PLP party convention at the Wyndham Cable beach hotel the Bahamas film festival played to critical acclaim. Along with the many American and Canadian film makers was a small contingent of Bahamians pushing their unique film and script projects.
Giovanni Stewart, Nassau native, played his locally popular poetry artistry in a show called Bahama Brilliance on Sunday afternoon to a large Bahamian and international audience.
This years film festival, a first for the Bahamas, was a sucess and the second is scheduled for November 12th -16th 2004.
The Bahamas is now on the indie film circuit and that can only lead to more productions and festivals being held in the Bahamas. This could only be a plus for all Bahamians as we strive for a better Bahamas.
