Seems like the writer has never been to Mayaguana. Seriously tho thats chicken feed to give away, if it will jumpstart the economy in the south.Lets just collect all the taxes & make sure all regulations are in place & adhered to.

i said this months ago...9999 acres at $200 and some an acre is a national travesty. and perry came up with the smart idea of knighting baltron bethel...the people of mayaguana thank you for the lousy 1500 crumbs a year...what a national disgrace! we will reclaim our land...believe that.

I just replied to a thread concerning Freeport and selling an acre in the eastern part of the island for just over 2,000. I then came across this and I can't believe this, $200 an acre? This government is an absolute disgrace, 9,999 acres.. unbelievable.

better start buying up bahamian land while it is still available then. a group of us are buying land in cat island, long island and inagua before the entire southern bahamas turns into the florida keys.

can't say you weren't warned. fnm and plp both are in a big hurry to sell off the bahamian heritage to the highest bidder ... first kerzner, now grand bahama and abaco, and tomorrow your own back yard.

The land Kerzner own was always private land. Please get your facts together!
