You raise a point I alluded to in a different thread. Why a CONVENTION? Its not truly a convention unless party decisions are being made. Otherwise, its just an indoor rally really...to repeat the same things they said late last year. If you wanna deliver your message to the people..then TAKE IT TO THE PEOPLE..have an open air rally..not some posh "in da convention center" event man. Small mindedness and big egos cant dun man.

Maybe there is going to be a decision. Who knows, perhaps they have actually kept a secret that even the punch was not able to leak.

What bugs me is how many times are they going to honor old PLPs? Dont they have those stalworth things? Its like they are alway using the old glory to rally their followers. What's wrong? the new PLP isnt good enough? Its so irrelevant, what do these people have to do with the CURRENT mandate? Im sure they are even tired of the honors.

No chile...een no secrets trust me on dat lol lol, but I get your thinking. My lord..during last year's convention they spent so long showing film reels of old or dead PLPs I thought I was watching a geriatric convention. I have nothing against honoring salwarts ofcourse, but the PLP really just doesn't get it I sware. They arent connecting with where the young voters in particular are at, who reeeeeellly dont care about the constant self praise parties indulge in.

I mean last convention the PLP spent an hour playing footage from election win 2002...I was like Lord give me a break!!

What stood out to me especially was that there were virtually no young people in that hall during PLP convention 2005..and the only young person to speak was a little boy from Freeport who talked about urban renewal. Where is the youth arm of the PLP? Why is their presence so not visible? And what message does that send to young voters?

Bey I know some PLP supporters on this site might think Im hating, but I sleepy for real too doh! This was clearly just a thrown together exercise. I dont know what effect they are hoping this would have, I really dont.

I wasnt impressed...I tuned in a minute ago and all I see is funky nose v alfred and his big talks of nothingness...I dont know if yall noticed the crowd but its filled with older people...look at the worried look on Perry's face...its as if he's running scared...c'est la vie!

Yup, thats how it was last year too...a huge majority of those there were the older folk..then again last year the hall floor was predominantly filled with stalwarts, delegates and associate delegates, so it would be older folk anyways. But on a lighter note though..yinna noticed Allyson's perm? TALK DAT!!!:bouncy:

Ideally you want to get your stuff in by after 10 at the latest so that you wont lose alot of your TV and radio audience..afterall, the PLP paid for coverage from 7:30 to 10:30 with the radio stations. How many people who arent die hard PLPs they think would stay up after midnight to watch their message? At a time like this they needed to do what they could to make sure as much of their message as possible would not be missed.
