All this hype over the new state of the art generator had me go and do some minor research .. we'll start with this link. Apparently it is a new system ..

However, also from a contact in the US, there is a Lot of downtime in Boston, lots of Problems, and Mott Macdonald under Hatch (sub) are the same people doing the work there and here (consulting and future) .. apparently.

Anyone else here more versed in this generator stuff, like to post any info please do .. just when I hear things like "State of the Art", nowadays, why did it take so long, and why is our power still going off every other day, etc ..? Just curious.

Also they have been consulting for over 20 years for us, so they say, and our power has been terrible the past 20 years.

Well the funny thing is that where I live power rarely goes off until the summer, especially last year. But as always in the summer its the usual industrial unrest and load shedding and other stuff that we have to put up with.
