grouper2 02-16-07, - 03:05 PM Have anyone else notice all these gov. ministries/agencies putting preasure on the government to get things done? About a year and half ago when any agency talk about striking they(government) would call in their saviour Bishop Ellis.
What happen to him now? Did he got touch from god or anna? heard he have sore throat.

Garnelleo, surely you must be blind and deaf. Haven't you seen and heard and READ, most importantly, of all the industrial unrest in this country??? Do you live in The Bahamas or are you just visiting? Okay let me give you a quick run down. The following agencies are pissed off :sparky: and hot smoking mad  and ready to strike:
The Customs Department
The Prison Officers
The Teachers
The Air Traffic Controllers
BEC Managers (Lord help us with our lights)
They are warring over money and unpleasant working conditions. Where have you been??:gi:
garnelleo 02-16-07, - 03:38 PM Nah, not blind or deaf, and I lived here for the past 19 years. I guess I am not paying attention, but thanks for explaining. 2. I didnt know the OP was referring to the employees specifically. Government agency pressuring the government is a little vague.

I am happy to have informed you. Its pretty bad out there, Garnelleo! Its scary really. The government departments are really upset about A LOT of things.
futureambassador 02-16-07, - 04:55 PM The agencies are definitely adding fuel to the already out-of-control fire because elections are around the corner. This is their opportunity to speak their minds because the government has proven to their workers and the Bahamian people that they haven't and probably won't do anything, only attract more negative attention to this country.
