Basically he's saying even though he's done nothing wrong ( of course that's what HE thinks) he is stepping down to save face of his government, to protect his family from the target of rumors and ultimately to take the time to fight the alligations.....at least that's what I got from his address.

And I guess since some of us have been leaping mad shouting for resignation I guess we don't need to be turning around to dog him on why he resigned if he did nothing wrong.
