I bring to you a sweet remembrance
The vivid memory of a young remembered
Her vibrant and energetic self living as only
The youth could tell…… fun loving
I saw her passing as the morning dew
Quickly before the noonday sun
The wings of angels flapping for they knew
In a heartbeat she was gone
I remember the sting of August’s heat had not ended
And hurricane season was still on
When the wind swept the butterfly away
And my children had returned to school
As enchanted lily flowers in half bloom
September shared the fall
With the sudden showers that wet the soil
Grass covered hill where she was laid
On a Friday afternoon
The vivid memory of a young remembered
Her vibrant and energetic self living as only
The youth could tell…… fun loving
I saw her passing as the morning dew
Quickly before the noonday sun
The wings of angels flapping for they knew
In a heartbeat she was gone
I remember the sting of August’s heat had not ended
And hurricane season was still on
When the wind swept the butterfly away
And my children had returned to school
As enchanted lily flowers in half bloom
September shared the fall
With the sudden showers that wet the soil
Grass covered hill where she was laid
