View Full Version : Using Sir Lynden
FACTS ONLY 03-09-07, - 01:59 PM Well the PLP went dere. That's right, they using the memory (good or bad) of Sir Lynden in a desperate move to grab the votes of the die hards.
There is an ad i heard today. The ad is all about Sir Lynden. Isn't he DEAD? Why didn't they use this ad in 2002. Sir Lynden was just freshly dead then?
I want to hear some issues and what they ga do. I don't need to hear about Sir Lynden. Not now, in 2007!

runner 03-09-07, - 03:37 PM yk2bad, i couldnt agree with you more, this ad may hurt the PLP, there are people in this country who still hate the man, and everytime they hear the name Pindling, they crunch, for the life of me i couldnt see why the PLP would bring that name up ever again, i think this may have been one of their biggest mistakes, mind you he did some good, but i think for the majority of bahamians, he is one we would like to forget around election time

I heard it this morning on Joy FM. I was like ahhhhhhh come on yall can do better than that :bored:
nationbuilder 03-09-07, - 04:19 PM No matter which political party it is, only an out of touch party would believe that incorporating the voice of a dead man in their campaign will impact the choices of people who are very much in the land of the living and dealing with real life issues and struggles.
diarra 03-09-07, - 04:28 PM It sure is a "new" type of political campaigning that I don't think the vast majority of Bahamians are used to. We may be used to seeing it be a huge part of foreign politics but I don't think their actual message (whateva they felt it was) was conveyed. I would not of used the voice of Mr. Pindling in an add like that tho. Truly distasteful to me................
nationbuilder 03-09-07, - 04:42 PM The PLP's whole PR campaign this time around is whack compared to 2002. You can tell they have no real formulated strategy going. For instance - they have an ad out saying "the people are crying because Hubert is back or coming back"..
HELLO! Your ad just conceeded defeat to the FNM stupids, because if Ingraham will be defeated at the polls, the crying people (who you claim in your other ad are so happy because of Perry Christie's accomplishments) would have nothing to be sad about. In fact, they should be even more happy because he will get beat and the "right man for the job" will have a second term.
WHO IS HANDLING AND CONCEPTUALISING THEIR CAMPAIGN??
RockWell 03-10-07, - 12:41 AM You guys are to funny! DWL!
