There has been no DSL connection since 9th March 2007 Friday.
Its now 12th March 2007 Monday. Still no DSL.
Has Betelnet said anything about how long it will last or what the problem is?
No one here is talking about it. Is anyone here on DSL?
Was there an oceanic quake that cut the cables?
I can still get dial-up (which is why I'm here at all) but I'm on my one-month try-out of DSL and so far the experience is a bad one.
I had two good days of DSL hookup and the rest I keep calling someone about the lack of service.
Whats going on?

I think but am not sure but it may be due to some DNS issues.
I was at a friend's house who called me since he couldn't get onliine (dsl). I could have pinged remote hosts fine and access websites via host IP address ex. http://64.233.187.99 (Google English). So what i did was got their DNS server addresses. I tried to put it in the modem but it didnt work, I then put addresses in the TCP/Ip settings of his LAN and he was fine after that.
But your issue may be different so keep trying to get a hold of someone or just have a friend or tech look at it.
They've had issues for months now.
They dont assign you an IP anymore by the way.

But that wouldn't affect my bud's issue not resolving host names tho. Now I didn't assign them an IP statically just the DNS servers for host name resolution.
unless u referring to something else

I dont know the way DSL works, maybe Batelnet changed something.
But yeah with Cable I always set the DNS when using a router.
I was referring to that they dont assign you an IP anymore, meaning basically it is like you are on their router ..
