He sounded really teed off today at his press conference, calling the PLP "treacherous, backstabbers and unprofessional" and all that jive. I know BJ Nottage een too happy, cuz he knows now that his chances are rougher of winning that seat.
songbird 03-20-07, - 02:27 PM you know its really funny......i wonder why they didnt pick him in the first place. he was a PLP, he had most of the people's support behind him, it was a sure seat. PM must have had some underlying reason why he didnt pick Sen Moss........that's why i dont like politics sometimes........personalities get in the way of everything!!!

Well the reason isnt so underlying. BJ Nottage didnt come back to the PLP to be a nobody. He still wants to lead the PLP the next go round ya know, and he wouldnt be too effective a leader with no seat (just ask Tommy T).
So, giving BJ a theoretically good shot at a seat was clearly far more important to some in the PLP than keeping its promise to CB Moss.
AND REMEMBER - many PLP Cabinet Ministers didnt want BJ back cuz they see him as a threat. So they had nooo problem with him running in Bain and Grants again CB - because they feel CB will beat him, and hence, move him out of their way!!!
Alien 03-20-07, - 02:37 PM If anything, Kenyatta should have gone. BJ may have lost his seat again. LOL...
Perry may have set up BJ. Bain and Grants town may swing FNM.
This was a bad political move by the PLP and will cost them. How much is the question?

You got it my brutha..you used da right word...set up! :shaky:
chancellor 03-20-07, - 02:42 PM It's kinda sad that they think BJ is worth throwing away their most loyal candidates. Ironic too. In my opinion he was better strugglin with the CDR.
diarra 03-20-07, - 02:54 PM Yeah why, wouldn't they have let BJ run in one of the seats fa like Stubbs, Smith, Gibson (both of em) instead of do that to CB Moss. I mean what exactly has he done to warrant such disrespect?
Objective thought 03-20-07, - 02:57 PM you know its really funny......i wonder why they didnt pick him in the first place. he was a PLP, he had most of the people's support behind him, it was a sure seat. The PM says that he does not want a senior pastor of any church to run as a candidate.
Because of the urban renewal and its connection to the pastors, he is trying to avoid a conflict of interest.
Only thing that's nagging at me is, Why hasn't C.B. resign from the senate?:raw:
I thought he would have resigned at the same time he anounced his intention to run as an independent.

Well in having that nagging feeling you got company atleast, cuz whats nagging BJ is that CB runnin as Independent! :shaky:
Alien 03-20-07, - 03:01 PM I wonder if this may change?
LOL...
BJ has no chance really. Unless there is mass voter fraud. BJ is out in the cold.

Oh please chile. He is copying his opponent once again, as it was the FNM which said last year it would not seek out Pastors to run, nor does it expect that a pastor should leave his flock to seek political office.

I think you are exactly right.
The PLP does not have to worry about winning in 2012 because for me (if I am still in the land of the living), they will not be even a consideration.
I don't care how good of a job they do (if they win this time) I will be looking elsewhere. I think 10 years is enough time to complete ones agenda.
I don't want to see another reign like Pindling's.:uh:

I second that!!
