Bradley Roberts called CB Moss, Cry Baby Moss.

Is this so?
What do you guys think?

He also made mentioned of a letter from CB Moss in the late 80's telling Lady Rubyann Darling she could not represent both the government and the Baptist convention, this was a stand out for me. The irony that is.

Moss is acting like a true man of God. Standing up for his convictions, in wanting to be the king in the den of thieves.

What moral fibre he has shown. What character. CB Moss is truly one of the greatest.

Minister Roberts said if Rev. Moss is consistent with his views he should apply the advice he gave to former member of parliament Ruby Anne Darling via a letter dated May 26, 1986 when he asked Mrs. Darling to withdraw as a host of the Baptist Radio Hour because she was standing as a candidate in the 1987 general elections.

In that letter – a copy of which was provided to reporters – Rev. Moss wrote: "It is my opinion, however, that your public confirmation of your candidacy in the upcoming general election on behalf of one of the local political parties made it mandatory that you immediately withdraw from the programme.

"Your failure to do this has, among other things, placed the Baptist Convention and indeed individual Baptists in an embarrassing position. It has also cast a shadow upon your Christian integrity, or your good judgment; for surely you will agree that to make a partisan speech on national radio on Saturday, which is divisive and creates wounds, then return on Sunday as the voice of the church, which seeks to bridge divisions and heal wounds, is incompatible."

Minister Roberts told reporters, "If this was the advice C. B. Moss gave to someone who was not a pastor of a church, then surely this same standard must apply with greater force to a pastor such as he."

It seems that Rev Moss should have kept the same view that he held twenty years ago. I have always felt that Pastors and religious ministers should stay out of politics. Period. Quite Frankly this sordid episode have confirmed to me that i was right. Pastors should be the moral conscience of a nation and should be above partisan politics and the like. Thats why i have always condemn Bishop Neil Ellis for giving his church members an ultimatum to vote PLP or ''haul hip'' out of ''his'' church. It is simply wrong and unbecoming a pastor.

Having said that, Bradley Roberts did CB Moss wrong. He promised that he would back him for the nomination and did otherwise. In fact he back Dr Nottage, who had just rejoin the party last year, against a life long PLP and stalwart member.

What is most telling is that of the silence of Dr William Thompson, who Rev Moss claims was there when Perry and Brad made the ''deal. Like i have said else where before, Rev Moss own fellow PLP Christian Ministers have sealed his fate! Poor CB have been hung out to dry. Well, he who laugh last is the better man. The voters will decide if Pastor Moss will have the last laugh. It ain long nah...

I don't think the Rev. C.B. Moss is a cry-baby. He was misled by the leader of the PLP. He has a right to use the media to inform the public of this. The PLP is making a big issue out of trust (concerning the FNM) in their campaign, but now the shoe is on the other foot.

I am also of the opinion that church leaders should not run for political office, but at least I feel more comfortable knowing that the Rev. will be running as an independent.

A man of God does not carry on like CB is. I don't know what you mean by greatest but I don't get that from his actions.

He should have quit, then state his reason for doing so and move on.

When replies came from Brad and Christie he should have left that alone and carry on with his campaign.

Instead he chose to get caught up in name calling etc. Not Godly like.

He is acting no different from the ordinary politian. He should be held at a higher standard according to the word that he preaches.
