View Full Version : Foreigners pulling flag on PLP site
jujutree 03-24-07, - 12:17 AM The PLP have ads condemning the photos on the FNM website as not being bahamians, but who are those people pulling the flag along on the PLP website. As soon as it opens all u c is them foreigners and not bahamians on top of the page. Total hypocrisy.
AnarchyIsOrder 03-24-07, - 12:29 AM It's just a stock photo - you know, one of those free copyright-free images you can use and one that is supposed symbolize diversity i would guess. Anything even more trivial you wanna use to attack the party you dislike? This mudslinging inbetween idiots on both side who are duped into believing that the victory of one of these parties will make a great difference in the lives of the people is not even funny anymore.
besides, how were you able to tell they were foreigners? There are no white Bahamians, and Bahamians can't dress in business attire?
runner 03-24-07, - 01:06 AM could you beleive the PLP made an add criticing the FNM for putting photos on their webpage? say they aint bahamians
chancellor 03-25-07, - 06:04 AM LOL I was like what kind of friggin ad is this early in the morning? What kind of retard would make an issue out of that? With the fact that many comapnies Bahamian or not did the same thing, and you would think the PLP would change their website before they realeased that ****.
PLP or any political party who is so desperate and really think that pointing that out would really put them in power is nuts and really insults the intelligence of the modern Bahamian.
The thing is they don't even know that....they have no proof, not a piece of paper from anyone I was cussing out the ad while it was playing....if you have no proof shut up! I that would be like trying to gang up on Delroy over the issue of whether those girls on the OnBahamas.com ad are real Bahamians. Good friggin grief!
I'm beginning to wonder if the PLP really endorsed some of this crap, or some independent group.
Ting-um 03-25-07, - 08:28 AM By posting the link aren't you advertising for the PLP??

You are crazy. You should not buy into this hate sentiment. It is inconsistent. Either the PLP hates foreigners like Marquis, or loves them. Either they hate Brent because he is white, or loves him.
:dunce:
garnelleo 03-25-07, - 11:27 AM What cracked me up about the ad was..."I een voting for them...".
Riiiiiiiight cuz they have stock photos on thier site...Good amount of the ppl who listening to the ad cant use the computer anyway.
michali 03-25-07, - 12:31 PM The reason stock photos are used is because local people are not willing to have their photos on the net or on printed media. I do a lot of work for The Crisis Centre and my greatest challenge in developing thought-provoking material is the fact that I have to search for photos that will not infringe copyright laws, both here and away.
So the fact that both political parties have had to use stock photos is for the same reason that companies, organisations etc have to use them. We have no alternative.

Well I havent heard them but yea.
From my experience alot of Bahamians (parents/g. parents more so than children) shy away from PCs and cant tell you much about the internet.
In the Bahamas, even though we have one of the highest penetrations of high speed internet users (vs dialup users) compared to N. America, we have a lower proportion of internet users on the whole.
I will say tho its good to see both parities using the power of the internet for the elections.

But if you check out the Bahamian chat sites (& I know you do) this one is basically the only one that gives a flying fig bout politics.

Just responding to the ad the PLP have on about the pics on their site being foreign and trying to fool the bahamian people into believing that they are bahamians. Listen to the ad for yourself
