We've had to once again tell the policemen standing outside Dunkin' Donuts at the bottom of Cumberland Street, that they or traffic police need to be keeping an eye on the intersection by Government House - Cumberland and Blue Hill Road.
Vehicles run the red lights there all the time and today we were shocked to see a horse and carriage, coming up from Shirley Street, overtake a jitney that had stopped at a red light, and rush across the intersection in the direction of Graycliff at a terrific speed! If something had been coming down the street, horse, driver and tourists could all have been killed!
I wish I'd been able to get the surrey's number, but it was going too fast!
