What a crack pot this guy is, the Woodside getntleman who is running in Pinewood against Maynard. He had the nerve to come on national radio and say something incredibly callous for political points. Against the hard working police officers and social services team at the Urban Renewal.
He said that the Urban Renewal officers, are "attacking" people in Pinewood. I never EVER EVER EVER...in my life, ever heard this or witnessed this in any of the projects. With that he said officers. Now as anyone would know, they have a team of "volunteer" officers at the projects. They do not wear uniform all the time and they are volunteer.
Woodside should moderate his response a little more carefully. This language is an obvious attack and shows the lack of respect he has for the civil service, and for the majority of the hard-working people in it. A service says needs to be downsized. I would have to take issue with this.
Now, I am the very last person to defend the disorganized civil service, but even I realize that some of those "jobs" are borderline welfare and was/are needed. I do not and will never recomend mass cuttings of civil servants, with no other form of ready employment, especially if they are past 40. I do however feel that there should be tough enforcement on the matter of work ethic and I feel that the civil service, should be made to work harder and more efficient through technology and a stricter, more impartial, settlement system.
So those who can not take the pace, will either be forced to leave on their own, shape up, or be released due to inefficiency. That is a better transitional long term solution.
I don't know. HI has put some real "guys" around him. I knew this was a fake FNM. This is a trojan horse. Be very weary civil servants. Be very very weary for everyone. A key reason why the FNM was voted out has not changed. With brain-boxes out there like Woodside, who will be in a position to effectively tell Ingraham, NO Mr. Prime Minister, I think this is unwise and maybe we should chart another course.
This FNM is insulated, AGAIN, in a one man regime under HI.
Tommy T and Dizzy D are castrated, Brent is a coward, all of the ol'd FNM's like Bostwick and those are out of the picture, Foulkes is a weasel, Tenny, Allgernon and Dupuch have given the Bahamian people a fair and warranted warning; regardles of what you think of Algernon and Tenny, but Dupuch is one of the most hardest working FNM's, and loyal to the party he and his family business interest in the Tribune.
This party structure, going into elections with this current FNM is not good at all. My honest and sincere oppinion.
