View Full Version : Tommy T; PM one day?
Alien 03-25-07, - 09:16 AM I would have to admit, Tommy T is on the right road once again. He has not said anything this election, and that may be a good thing.
The cut-hip he took, and kept and came back is sign of a true warrior and patriot. He took it all, and came back because he wants to stick it in. Maybe it is because he knows he will inherrit the FNM one day, or he may not be that smart enough to realize what he faces.
I think it is the former. Tommy T can be PM, even if his daddy was not Tiny T, who is by en-large an absentee force in the party right now. HI said it, and I agree with it. Just that then was not the time, and HI set him up by some accounts; knowingly, or un knowingly. He may have deserved it and know he had to learn how to "rule" and be "ruled". He took it all, even the "roll call" HI pulled at the last FNM convention. Calling up almost all of the men, who he had to show who was boss, and in mommy and daddy type fashion, lined them up for a pat on the head and their lunch money. LOL....
He took it and he is not grumbling openly. This is why I would agree with my first notion, and that is that he understands he will inherrit the FNM some day. The deal is signed. And maybe a true sign that, HI has finaly seen the FNM first and not his ego and PLP buddies first. Allbeit Perry and his PLP buddies, went for broke this time around; which is probably something he proffitted from in any event. Fact remains is this, he owes the FNM the chance to set the party in some organizational structure for the future. A cultural path for the future. He owes them that and I am happy to see him do it in earnest.
This is critical right now for another reason, as we see HI actively "grooming" people to carry the torch so to speak. This was a move he had never done prior to the last election, which was no surprise now that he "came back". He is following in true LO fashion, and is getting the next batch of guys ready, to move on and be winners for the future. Perry has not had the chance. And may not get the chance in the fashion the way HI is doing right now.
I still do not like the calibre of guys who the FNM selected, sanctioned by HI of course. I think that they are unseasoned, and a bit dense on many fronts. Some may even be playing dense. But I see a few guys, who have the ability to put motion in the ocean.
Maybe HI and Perry realize that incremental change, to be put into our political system through inducement, should be what we are looking at. It may set us on a cultural path and it maybe waht we need. But, it would take the electorate to see this. The way the issues have been obfuscated by true power hungry individuals, this may not be an easy task. Power hungry individuals on the lower and higher end.
Objective thought 03-25-07, - 10:49 AM Just to expand on what you have said I will say this.
I had no prpblem with HI changing his mind like PG and others do. It was just the way he did it. He should have given Tommy at least a months notice but he knew if he did that Tommy would have worked even harder. We know HI don't like to play fair. He likes when persons are at a disadvantage.
He called those guys to his house just 2 days before he was to be nominated and worse of all promised Tommy he will never run against him. Well we all know that he was telling a lie. His excuse to Tommy and others was that he could not not listen to that large amount of peolpe calling for him to return.
Well, I am quite sure he heard them long before nomination day!
He did not fool me with that. But be that as it may, we all know that he had all intention of returning because he did not want to leave anyway. He was forced to keep his word by Tenny, Dupuch, Algenon and others which is why he starbed them in the back. He made sure Dupuch was fired and Algenon and Tenny did not win.
HI wanted someone there who he can control or easily manipulate. Of course he knew Tenny and others would not have stood for that like Tommy has.
Dion never wanted to be leader he was sent out by the HI faction to help Tommy take the fall so he wouldn't think the whole world was against him.Dion is just as bad as HI. None of them can be trusted.
I have no fear of HI supporting Brent for leadership of the party because that was already promised to Tommy, which is why he is still FNM today. But then again a promise is only a comfort to a fool! Just ask CB.... LOL:dgi:

Lord, yinna apologist is something else. First, yinna was raining fire and brimstone on Hi for changing his mind, period! Now you have no problem with Hi changing his mind like PG and others( Bradley Roberts, i assume) but when he change his mind. So the definition of a liar change with time!?!? I guess that make sense aye? I wonder when Perry told Moss that he wont be backing him for the Bain and Grants town nomination? Things that make you go hmmmm.
He should have given Tommy at least a months notice but he knew if he did that Tommy would have worked even harder. We know HI don't like to play fair. He likes when persons are at a disadvantage.
Did Perry and Brad played fair with Moss? And of course like Perry is now doing with the opposition forces in the country. Examples-- Late boundary cuts; campaigning while on official duty, like lighting night lights at four family island airports and using ZNS like their personal PR firm. Talking about disadvantage. Jokes!

Now Perry is claiming the people of Bains and Grants town dont want Moss. Big difference aye?

:shaky: Your "facts" are so wrong its laffable. You clearly dont know what you purport to know.

On the first part; I do not think you udnerstood the author. They said that they have a problem with the way he changed his mind. He said he would quit, and then he came back.
So the definition of a liar change with time!?!? I guess that make sense aye? I wonder when Perry told Moss that he wont be backing him for the Bain and Grants town nomination? Things that make you go hmmmm.
Different scenario. They have other candidates, who have more to offer the constituency. With that the people of B&G do not want Moss. The PLP delegates said this in a democratic fashion. Nothing Brad or Perry could have done about this.
Did Perry and Brad played fair with Moss? And of course like Perry is now doing with the opposition forces in the country. This has nothing to do with anything we are talking about. Pull your head out of your tail end for one second. Stay on topic. First you say, Perry is indescisive and spineless, and now he takes advantage of his power?
Which is it pharaoh?
Or it is anything that is in opposition to the PLP?
Second of all, we have a boundary commission you know. They have a say with it you know. Not just the PM. Hubert was accused of the same thing, he just strong armed to get more of his way. But the commission works in this town.
Third, they all have access to ZNS.
Now Perry is claiming the people of Bains and Grants town dont want Moss. Big difference aye?

Prime Minister Christie does not have to "claim" that. The people of B&G said this in a democratic fashion.
Two words--FNM HACK
One Word more: COWARD
I know your panties got soaked, when you saw a thread praising your people. LOL...
You want it to stay to the top of the mountain, as long as it has a good word. Coward and a hate monger

Aw nationbuilder get off of it. The only reason why he had not sacked Wells, is because Wells has some real power. Allen and the rest were expendable.
Wells was a bit afraid of HI as well, but he has found his courage.

Pharoah this is to you.
Check my record since I first came on BI I have always maintained that I did not have a problem with People especially Hi changing their minds. I said it was a silly argument from the beginning. Others may have but not me.
Exrated 03-25-07, - 02:38 PM i agree with you YK
as a young person I really hope that Tommy finds the strength to man-up and take our party to an even higher level which I do believe he is capable of now, which is something I didn't see happening in 2002.. and I think alot of people shared that view.
I wish him the best and hope to see him one day as PM
watsayu 03-25-07, - 02:54 PM i agree with you YK

I cannot agree with YK2bad, as I know that he is only trying to stir a negative debate gainst HI. Yet HI and Perry time will definitely be over after this election... Tommy and other young people on both side will have an opportunity...
Tommy has to work at it.. I know he is capable.. and he is more crediable then most.... despite the sham that Tenny and Perrie de pruke spilled on him
Good Luck Tommy T..
bahmaboy 03-25-07, - 04:15 PM u know i would like to know what age has to do with it!!!!???? Perry is a old head and he has no business leading the Bahamas. He is indisicive and quite on major issues that is some of the biggest recipes to make a poor leader.
