You know what I HATE ABOUT ELECTIONS?! Some people take this thing so serious to the point where they are no longer friends or ain't speaking to their family members. Don't get me wrong elections ARE serious and who you pick to move the country forward is very important. But come on man if you is PLP and ya sister n law or friend is FNM or BDM or whatever why you ga stop talkin to the person..PEOPLE i've seen this happen before especially with that 02 election..I watched 2 who gone to fight over politics they won't fight for JESUS that way.. and while they round here cussing ,fighting, and carrying on and the hon christie and ingraham them probably sitting down eating pig feet and johnny cake. Its just stupid and I don't call people stupid but in this case SOME PEOPLE JUST STUPID OVER POLITICS. ..hmm this is gettin kinda long but I just thought i'd point out what i hate about election and i've seen this before so yea

I agree with you wholeheartedly. But you must recognize what has happen.
Many of these people who put their all and all into politics are Godless people!! They may go to church but they have no interest in the things of God or obeying his commandment. And man being designed to serve and worship God must find a substitute.

So they substitute God with a political party and the Party becomes their God. So all their passions are pumped into the party instead of GOD. But if the if party loses. they react as if God himself had let them down.

Many people throw all their faith hope and future dreams into a political party instead of God.

But man made things fail so when the party fails they become filled with bitterness and hate and depression.

Boy this stuff breaks apart churches and I have seen it happen right before me!

I remember it had to be a sunday or two after the 2002 elections. Now the church had just finnished singing a good spirited hymn, and the first lady of the church went up like she or any deacon would usually do...now I wasnt listening to everything, but she caught mines and everyone's attention when she said...."caus' I know THERE'S A FRESH WIND BLOWING!"

That was the beggining of war, I never seen so many happy faces turned stunned and ugly. People who were applauding stopped in their tracts. Heads turned. Praising stopped......YES!.....she went THERE!. Even if that was not her intention, those words in those days sealed the fate of relationships in Freeport. And the thing about it was people was defeated supporters was just getting over it. Some survived...some people started "visiting" churches, then slowly backing out the door, and when the other pastor and his wife decided to start their church that's when the great schism really occured.

It's war and it's serious. We can be friends again after elections. But now, it is time to get the country right. No friends in that at all.

I do believe that political fanatics carry things too far. I've also witnessed this behaviour and I think it is ridiculous. I was in the 12th grade in 2002 and I remember having at least two teachers pull me out of class whenever they wanted to debate politics with me. They got so fired up, their faces turned red...their eyes glared...their voices rose...they ran hot!!! Then, they'd cut their eye at me throughout the day! WTH?! I'm like...isn't Perry Christie the godfather to one of Ingraham's kids? Don't all these men have a laughing good time with one another? Regardless of party, aren't they all cut from the same cloth?! This is why you raising your blood pressure? Catch a grip!
