Yeh. This one by Sir Arthur Foulkes was in that section too:

I think these went up after the PLP's ads about Sir Lynden, making him a campaign issue or something like that.

You guys have no quit. I can go on about the "inconsistencies" in that report. Including the motive of the source. This time I really have better things to do.
LOL......

well, no one around here thinks he was a saint, no matter their age. but then again, most effective politicians rarely are. fact is, though, sir lynden was the first prime minister of an independent bahamas, and implemented quite a few social changes (insert your joke here) ... seriously, education in the out islands being first and foremost.

in the late 1960s and early 1970s, sir lynden and the plp 7 were kicking serious parliamentary butt, with far more diplomatic skills than those being deployed around the world at the time.

growing up in that era, i didn't see anyone else inspiring an entire country to get educated and come back and fix what was wrong with the bahamas. the fix is still underway, courtesy of both fnm and plp ideas charging forward, but we're not even forty years old yet! patience, people, patience.

If the peeps only knew the truth about MLK.
Whoremonger, and thief.
Peeps now know the truth about Jesse.
Whoremonger and liar.
Peeps now know the truth about Washington.
Slave farmer.
Peeps now know the truth about Jefferson.
Whoremonger slave trader who slept with his slaves.
Peeps now know the truth about Clinton.
Murderous thugs, liar and whoremonger along with a drug dealer.

Peeps now know the truth about all of them. What is different in this case, is that they did not dwell on the negatives and professed the positives. Even moreso after their passing. Show some class you mutt.

With that peeps will now know the truth about HI. Comming soon to a blog near you.

The weight of history will judge Sir Lynden. History will show that Sir Lynden was victim of his own greed and vindictiveness. Sir Lynden political life is made of two parts--The first is one of hero; and the second of villain.

Sir Lynden was just a part of a larger group of men and women, both black and white, who helped in the social and political transformation of the Bahamas.

Until we acknowledged history in its entirety, we will continue to see the darker half of Sir Lynden. The PLP have never quite come to terms that the birth of the PLP is wrap up in white Bahamians.

I have already mention that I have had to come to terms, that Sir Lynden was much of a savior as he was a destroyer. Sorry, but that is the truth of the matter. Sir Lynden sins were great but equally great was his accomplishments.

For God sake, I wish that the PLP will let the man rest in peace. For when ever they use the man for political mileage during elections, they also resurrect his demons. Plain and simple.

You speak the truth in the case here about every one of these men,but what about the good things, the good deeds that each and every one of them contributed to civilisation. We all sinners....yes...even you.Do your good deeds outweigh your sins? The answer to that question is the real measure of a good man versus a truly bad man.

Sad ting is the PLP keep bringing Sir Lynden into this political debate, just when people beginning to accept him for ther good he did and forgive his shortcomings. Don't they realize to Majority Rule generation are in their 50's? (including alfred, fred, Sean, phil galanis, Vince Peet)

Got a point. The election needs to be about contemporary issues. The only thing we need to do with the past is learn from the mistakes made and seek to improve on the good.

But trying to make the past the present serves no useful purpose other than to confuse and divide based on how one chooses to interpret that past and present it to others.
