View Full Version : Nude & Gay Tourists Jer 04-04-07, - 09:26 PM http://www.jonesbahamas.com/?c=45&a=12182 Ises 04-04-07, - 09:44 PM I've personally whitnessed tourist on this cay, and I must admit, it is a bit much to take in... Public displays of affection is widespread, and Holland American cruiselines usually carry mature adults 50/60 and above... Carnival cruiseline also goes there every now and then, but basically the nude cruises are of mature adults. Although it is nature, it is a sight to behold! casualobserver 04-04-07, - 09:56 PM I've personally whitnessed tourist on this cay, and I must admit, it is a bit much to take in... Public displays of affection is widespread, and Holland American cruiselines usually carry mature adults 50/60 and above... Carnival cruiseline also goes there every now and then, but basically the nude cruises are of mature adults. Although it is nature, it is a sight to behold! I was thinking that it would be cool to work the Playboy bunny or the Hooters cruise, but if it's old folks and gay people, maybe not. Gravity is a cruel, cruel thing. They should get paid a little extra for the repulsive factor and a cool perk to make them happy. It's not worth protesting and losing a job. It's not worth the damage done to the country when Rosie, the German, the Gallaghers, B2B and the like are making sure the world knows that the Bahamas isn't as hospitable as they think it is. It only fuels their crusade. Rory 04-04-07, - 10:32 PM if its not against the law, there is little they can do, besides quit. Unless the management or owners will listen to them ofcourse, which they may .. Teniel 04-05-07, - 12:36 AM I guess laws governing public decency dont apply on these cays? Vicky 04-05-07, - 01:03 AM 1 Its a private cay. 2 If you don't want to work aroung a kind of people get out of the service industry. 3 she and others would be out of a job if the tourist did not come. "Mrs. Rolle said employees who have worked at Half Moon Cay for many years claimed that in the past the cay never operated by allowing nude guests to walk freely around the resort. However, in the last several years the private cay lost business due to other developments taking place in South Eleuthera. Mrs. Rolle said the employees believe this is the reason management has become so liberal." I wonder what Mrs Rolle would say if the cays management closed down instead of attracting other groups of tourists?? Dose she think management can pull her salery out of the air? She would be out of work so she might as well accept it and work or quite. islandgyal 04-05-07, - 02:19 AM would a hotel union really waste its clout to call a strike because a few service industry employees are uncomfortable working around people who kiss each other or are <gasp> old? whatever happened to just taking another job? as it is, folks are coming in from cat island to take the various construction, hotel, banking jobs available on eleuthera because the place is so busy. Rizzo 04-05-07, - 09:15 AM 1 Its a private cay. What must one pay to own a cay? How can one allow the sale of an entire cay? Seagod 04-05-07, - 09:19 AM Interesting, the minister plans to respond to their concerns in light of the fact that it is a private cay and well tourism.. I wonder what he has to say. Gay politics won the election for Bush in 2004. I wouldn't be surprised if the PLP decides to ruffle some gay feathers for the sake of appearing to draw the line in the sand when it comes to gay folk and feed the anti gay frenzy that is the bahamas PLP electorate. All of this to bait the FNM who would feel compelled to respond if it becomes a hot button issue. The FNM simply can't afford to get as gutter as the PLP because their electorate tends to be more left leaning, and liberal. Bahamasinmyheart 04-05-07, - 10:11 AM The FNM simply can't afford to get as gutter as the PLP because their electorate tends to be more left leaning, and liberal. really? Yahooey 04-05-07, - 10:15 AM . The FNM simply can't afford to get as gutter as the PLP because their electorate tends to be more left leaning, and liberal. I thought the FNM were conservative and right leaning. Vicky 04-05-07, - 10:44 AM What must one pay to own a cay? How can one allow the sale of an entire cay? You pay money for it and its yours just like buying land but it is suronded by water. There are many private cay in the Bahamas. Vicky 04-05-07, - 10:48 AM I thought the FNM were conservative and right leaning. They both going to throw garbage so the people don't look at the real issues.. I suggest all of you watch "Man Of The Year". Seagod 04-05-07, - 10:50 AM I thought the FNM were conservative and right leaning. Naturally your personal experience may be different. All the FNM voters I know are not gay but don't have a problem with gay tourist in the bahamas or anywhere in the world. They simply don't care. I would describe them as left leaning and liberal with concervative views when it comes to their own families. And seeing that their children won't be on that beach they don'tr give a dam. Ya dig. The point I am making is the incumbent gov has a chance to address this issue first, my guess is with elections a month a way it will lean more towards supporting the views of the christian fundamentalist. You can win an election in the bahamas on the backs of gays (no pun intended). The FNM can choose to sit back or bash gay people as well either way they would have a hard choice to make if the PLP does take a hard line stance for one month of politics. bahamianpride 04-05-07, - 10:58 AM Naturally your personal experience may be different. HI said that our constitution and laws do not allow for gays to be discriminated against whether citizen, tourist, immigrant or prisoner... he drew a distinct line between church and state.... |
