I've only given blood once in my lifetime and it was a good experience. Thanks for the reminder. I'll try to do it again before this summer.

I hope your sister has a quick recovery.

just to let you know, nurses DO NOT, work in the Blood Bank at Doctors Hospital, the person that did that was most likely a phlebotomist, not a nurse.

I was in the emergency room .. it was a male nurse.

I thought you were actually giving blood at Doctors blood bank, well if that's the case shame on that male nurse :eek:

Yep .. he wasnt Bahamian either BTW ..
In fact, most of the people working in there were not Bahamian!
Service sucked big time BTW, im going to save some $$ and just goto PMH next time (hopefully wont be one) as my insurance covers everything there 100% ..! ;)

wouldn't wanna give someone who is already sick a high amount of nicotine.
Next thing you know, they having cigarette cravings...

I would love to give but I am asthmatic and they wont take it.
I do carry around a card that says that I am an organ doner though.
If when I go, it is an accidental death and not a prolonged illness, I feel that if my organs are in good shape someone else can use them.

LOL! I guess they screen for evey thing these days. I can remember the time when - once your blood was red, it was good enough.
