Businesses are being broken into as well.

A client of mine was a victim of theft just recently. The t'iefs dem got through metal bars and stole several laptops, as well as some other equipment.

They're offering a $5000 reward for information regarding that incident, BTW.

"The police said they have increased early morning patrols particularly when residents leave their homes; they have re-introduced a more aggressive stop and search practice; they’re using a mobile van in high peak crime and drug peddling areas; they’re conducting community walk-a-bouts and more intense door-to-door enquiries and targeting known convicts and weekly round-up of suspects."

Has anyone noticed any of the above?

Yeah...especially after 5, when some people (without reason) decide to ramble about Bay Street. I have witnessed them stopping people who probably would have gone to more violent measures, whether on Bay street itself or somewhere else.
