Yahooey 04-19-07, - 01:45 PM Damn man!....30! :what: We are already past the halfway mark of last years numbers....and we only a third into the year. this is eleuthera's second murder for the year. geez man! chancellor 04-19-07, - 01:48 PM It does make you wonder, if everyone needs to start carrying their own weapon of self defence. Cause I don't know what the "lady called by God" is planning to do. CG 04-19-07, - 01:52 PM It does make you wonder, if everyone needs to start carrying their own weapon of self defence. Maybe she need to pray more? :) :) :) chancellor 04-19-07, - 01:59 PM Maybe she need to pray more? :) :) :) She wants to take everyone to church she says. Thing is church don't stop people from fighting either. CG 04-19-07, - 02:01 PM She wants to take everyone to church she says. If it would help, I would go! But we need action coupled with prayer - with the stress on action! :) chancellor 04-19-07, - 02:05 PM If it would help, I would go! But we need action coupled with prayer - with the stress on action! :) She has yet to understand that. If al the money they spend on prayer breakfasts was used to fight crime we would be at least remotely better right now. diarra 04-19-07, - 02:52 PM I wonder if "the prayer lady" reads this forum. Cuz if she does my personal message to Madam is.... Please step down ma'am, or get some ballz 2 deal with this crime situation. If your immediate people are saying that you are doing a good job they are not being honest with you. Better yet have a prayer service right before the first person is hung. bahmaboy 04-19-07, - 03:54 PM r yall sure the number 30 is correct!? cuase after the rasta was stabbed i thought that was 28? and if they find the kidnapped man dead he would make 29? people lights gettin out so fast u cant even keep up. oh well it looks like Ace Security is basking in the high crime rate. isnt it funny how anything is good for someone. ie high crime and murder great for security companies and funeral homes also has anyone noticed that for the past few years the murder count matched or was close to that year gor example i believe in 2004 the murder count was 40 odd. 2005 was 50 odd. 2006 was 60 odd. so i was suppose 2007 will be 70 odd fasttract 04-19-07, - 07:00 PM http://www.thenassauguardian.com/national_local/307634581449382.php WOW,SOMETHING IS DEFFENTLY WRONG IN OUR COUNTRY. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!! But they don't seem interested in getting involved until the law is broken. I feel that they see a lot of small things escalating and they simply stand back with the attitude that no law is broken ...YET. But if they have ANY common sense they know that it will lead to TROUBLE. If they made more effort maybe, just maybe they could be more of the solution than the problem. It seems that few people respect the police or are "afraid" of what the police can do! Today I had a little row with 2 police officers. I live in a very small community..streets so small that in some places 2 cars can't pass. Well I was in my family's business and 2 officers were just outside having a conversation. A car drove by with music blaring, shaking our windows, and as it passed, the driver accelerated speed. No respect for the fact that 2 officers were standing there! It was almost as if the driver was deliberately insulting the police! It was already going too fast for small streets where people step directly from their homes/ businesses into the street. So I stepped outside and asked the officers why they let that person drive by like that. WELL!! Did I ever get told off. No laws were broken and they couldn't arrest or write him up. There are no signs showing speed limit! I was TOTALLY WRONG for expecting them to politely say to the driver.."hey young man, slow down a little and respect others rights to not have their windows jarred by your music!" (I didn't expect them to arrest him..but its that ounce of prevention that I'm talking about..what happens if he hits a small child or old person stepping onto the street?) Then the older officer became quite rude and was laughing up in my face like I'm a fool for being concerned. And the younger one who is young enough to be my child was heckling along cause he had back up..Same young man who came to my house asking for my son to be a part of an after school group he heads..(Not in this lifetime!) Told me I need to buy a copy of the law book, so I can be more educated before complaining to the police! I told him he was rude and offensive. I wonder what police officers CAN do in this country? Every time I've ever complained about something I was told that they couldn't do anything! They always run on with some nonsense and ten thousand excuses. I am also at the point where I have very little respect for the police. Respect must be earned. And when an officer laughs AT a concerned citizen and basically jeers that person for being concerned, then I say our country is surely going to H*** in a handbasket! bahmaboy 04-22-07, - 03:50 AM I think that a lot of the blame must be put on the police.
